well done lordash, am delighted for you, am trying hard again with mine although did have some success yesterday as my bank return £200 as good will gesture for the hassle they had caused so that comes as great news for the overdraft which is now £200 lighter.
  • £5.02 this week which brings my total to £42.07 for jan and £90.45 in total

  • thats great budget, wish my back would be nice and return money to me :) well done

well done lesley, nice total beginning to build up there already.

rose youve been very quiet, hope your ok?

be very careful with paypal uk atm, the first result returned on a google search is a fake site, whihc rapport (recomended by a&l, natwest and rbs at least as good for telling you your on the correct site and not a fake one) failed to notice and gave me the green go ahead. also xmarks have it flagged as a site many people have bookmarked lately.....but there was a sneaky extra uk in the http addy when i looked closely after my anti-virus told me it contained a virus twice and wanted instructions for what to do.
  • hi, sorry I've not been about much - have been quite poorly and was barely able to stay awake for more than 3 hours at a time last week. Doing a bit better this week and will try to catch up with the thread soon. Hubby is was home ill today and hogging the laptop, but I will prise it out of his hands tomorrow if he doesn't go to work.

Hope you are all well xx

Lesley– well done on what you have saved

Laurasavon – well done, nearly £50 in one month, that’s fab!

Lordash Welcome to the thread. You have an amazing amount! Well done! I’m so impressed!

Budget don’t worry about spending yoru change to pay a bill, it’s far better to use it for that instead of sticking the bill on a CC. Great news on the bank giving you some money back!

WannaBe As far as I know it’s just a rumour about banks not wanting to take change over the counter, all the ones I go to still take it, although some have a limit of 5 bags per day

    Tattycath welcome to the thread

Pockets sorry for getting your total wrong – hopefully it’s right now

Purple thanks for all your lovely messages, it’s been lovely reading your comments to encourage people

Please check I have the right amounts on the first post and let me know if I've made any mistakes

I'm still struggling with my health - just got over one thing and I think I'm getting DH's cold now! Typical! Oh well! You have to laugh don't you!

I went out to get bread and milk yesterday and got about £3 in change so that's going in the pot! Yay!

If any new people would like to join in with our challenge then please just let me know!

Have a good week everyone xx

  • Hi rosepink, can I join in on the challenge please? I'm maybe a little late but hell, better late than sitting with a bottle of wine staring at credit card bills that need paying!!
