750 quid in change? How long did that take?
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.
  • Just counted mine as I am going to take it to the bank tomorrow £31.70.
Although some came from a long forgotten penny jar, I am still impressed with myself and it is going to go as an extra payment on one of my CC's.

Congrats to all for your totals:beer:
    LBM January 2010 Debt £22,239.51 Mortgage £120,999
    10K in 2010 = £1520.48 15.2% LOAN = £11,819.92 / £1055.35
    CC1 = £940.57 / £67.06 CC2 = £2994.71 / £156.43

Welcome Twisted, nice to have you joining in with our challenge! It's never too late to join in and start tackling those debts.

WannaBe well done - I will update your total

Budget I'm sure you will be back on track soon

Cat I'm waiting with bated breath to hear your total!

Lesley, don't worry about the petrol, if you need it you need it and it's better to spend the money you have, rather than money you don't have IYSWIM

I was so pleased with DH today, lately he's been saying: "we can't have that/do that we don't have the money" and tonight we watched Martin on ITV (it was on last night and recorded it) and DH said: "It's such a shame we didn't start all this moneysaving a couple of years ago, we wouldn't have the problems we do now!" I didn't mention that I've been trying for two years to get him to join me in the money saving, and decided to be pleased that his attitude has changed and that I'm not the one saying "we can't afford that" any more!

    Hi Guys

Having had alot of restless nights I took the bull by the horns last night and sorted out nearly all our finances.

Total in the bank from pot £1.17
Total in tesco saving stamps £18.00 (forgot i had these)

Then I sorted out where else I could make savings and decided to cancel my dh sports channels ( I told him first )

decided not to renew a couple of DD that we didn't need, so total saving last night for February so far £57.40, great so far.

hope all is well with everyone you all seem to be doing really well,
  • well done budget :) thats a great saving to start the month.
