Hi everyone, I’m back from my hols. Had a nice relaxing time, although I’m really really tired today. It was lovely but I’m looking forward to having a few restful days next week.
The good news is that I had lots of spending money for the holiday and didn’t spend much of it, so am going to put half in to my pot and half into my sealed pot challenge thing, although some might go towards a hair cut! I’m looking like an Old English Sheepdog again! Anyway, I will work out how much I’ll be able to put in my loose change pot and let you know. I think you will still win Lesley! But perhaps I won’t lose quite so badly as I am now!

Lesley, glad you have got more time off work and I hope the pills start helping soon. You are very organized with your spreadsheets and everything, that’s amazing. I’m a bit more random than that!

Mummy, hope your DD’s hayfever is ok at the moment, poor little thing

Yorkshire, you have definitely not cheated! If your OH is helping, that’s great! Well done! Glad you are going to bank the money – just be aware that most banks require people to pay money in the little bags, and you have to have a certain amount of each type of coin £1 of pennies/£5 of five p’s and 10p’s/etc. Sorry if you already knew this, it just sounds from your post like you had random amounts of each coin. If that is the case, don’t be disheartened, you will just have to wait a little longer to pay the money in.

Well done Jo with saving so much! That’s great!

Well done Nuala for banking your money, great news! I really hope things work out well for you regarding the house and everything. It would be fantastic if you could be debt and mortgage free, what a wonderful outcome that would be!

Hi Inapickle, are you joining us? Good to hear that you have been saving your change for a while. Just let me know if you are joining in with us or were just posting to say hello. We all provide encouragement for each other on this thread so that hopefully we will save more, so please join us if you wish.

I added another £1.24 today from my purse.....

Really depressing actually.....I took £80 out in cash from the ATM to pay off other things and that was all i had left.........
That is depressing, but never mind, at least you have some change left. Good that you've paid off some things too. Try not to be too upset about it.

Well done Mummytomygirls for getting some money in the pot today! Like you say, although it might take a while to get to your target, it will be sooo worth it!

Welcome Sonas_baby, nice to have you joining in the challenge. Post as often as you like, and we will all encourage you. Let me know when you get enough to bank, and I will put the amount next to your name on the first post

If there are any other new people who would like to join in, please just let me know! We are a friendly lot, who are all desperate to get out of debt and to help each other to do so with encouragement

Well done Focus with the large pint glass, that’s a great idea

Lesley, sorry to hear about your spreadsheet but good that you managed to redo it. What a pain when these things get lost. Why do you think you won't be able to get your target? You are pretty close to it
