Loose Change Pays My Debt version 2

Here I am on holiday, having a lovely time. Just thought I'd pop in and see what you are all up to. My DH has popped out to get an indian - very naughty I know but we had planned to go out for a meal yesterday and didn't as we decided to spend time with my sister instead, and she couldn't come out for a meal so we cooked at home and ate her, I mean ate with her. We are having a very relaxing time, yesterday we went to the cinema and today the sun is shining and we went for a lovely drive about and then did some shopping. The weather is glorious!
I've got lots of spending money that was set aside for the holiday, and so when I get back, whatever's left will be going in the pot. Got quite a bit of change already (I'm going to try to beat you Lesley!)
Nuala, sorry to hear about the house. Hope you can find somewhere lovely to live that you will love. Well done with the €60 – and you are very naughty to borrow the €2 but as long as you pay it back then that will be ok. I’ve had to do the same myself in emergencies. You have done well to save up so much!
Welcome Mummy2mygirls, glad you can join in with our challenge! Well done, you are off to a flying start already.
Hugs Focus, it’s hard to budget for food. I’m the same, we went shopping today and massively overspent. How about a compromise? You say you have lots of jars and can’t remember what they are all for. Why not pool all the jars, count up how much is in there, and put half into your loose change fund and spend the other half on the food you need to get through the rest of the month. If you don’t have much in the jars then you will obviously have to spend it all on food, but if there is enough then maybe that would be an option?"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

There are quite a number of us doing this challenge now, it's so lovely to see the list on the first page growing as new people join in.
It would be lovely to hear from some of the quieter members of the group, how are you all getting on? If you aren't doing as well as you would like, don't be afraid to post as we can all encourage you. And if you are doing well, then please tell us about your success as we would all be pleased for you and might even pick up a few tips!
As for you regular posters, keep it up! The thread would be very boring and couldn't keep going without your input! Well done!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Just thought I would say hi all, dont know what I have got in the pot now so need to have a count up, its definitely filling up though. Feeling really tired tonight, busy day at work and my finances are a bit of a disaster generally this month, few unexpected bills.
Lesley, dont know your full story but I have suffered with anxiety so have lots of sympathy. Not easy to cope with and not everyone is very understanding. Just keep taking one day at a time and things will get better.0 -
