Problem with Hermes Delivery Services

I can't speak for all Hermes couriers, but the one I have appears to be awful.
Someone who I saw yesterday and lives on the other side of my town gets alot delivered by Hermes and has never had an issue with them. Whether it's the same Hermes courier, I don't know, but she said she would take my parcel in if need be.
It does sound a very underpaid jobI still want my parcel though and it still doesn't explain why they'd knock and run.

I can be in all day today as girlfriend is coming over for the day (with lunch!) but i'd sooner be free to take her out shopping or something if the chance arose.

Got my parcel :j He knocked properly this time and waited. Someone must have had words (or it was a different courier)
Thanks everyone who posted advice :T

Did you ask him why it's taken over a week to deliver your parcel? I'd have been fuming by now!!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

No I didn't ask. He just handed it to me, looked nervous and walked off. I didn't have to sign anything either.0

I'm not surprised he looked nervous!! Keep an eye on the tracking details. Interesting that he put "Delivered to Secure Location" and not to customer! There's more to this than meets the eye!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I did wonder with "Delivered to Secure Location" as I don't have a 'safe place' but as it's my first experience with Hermes, I wasn't sure if that was the norm for a delivered parcel or whether it should have said 'customer'.
Good news is that I can go shopping with g/f now0 -

What option would you have selected on the HHT then Chameleon?0 -

I'm glad you've got it at last!! :j
Options on the HHT are limited unfortunately.0 -

Thanks. Yes, i'm just glad to have the parcel and i'm not concerned as to what the tracking says.
If something dodgy was going on with the courier, my untrained eye wouldn't be able to pick it up, so i'll assume everything is okay and it was just a lazy courier or something0 -

Ermmm "Delivered to CUSTOMER" would be the option of choice! Delivering to "secure location" indicates the parcel has been left "in a secure location" and not directly handed over. The OP was also not asked for a signature. It's not exactly rocket science!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
