Postie has used a PDA here for as long as I can remember.
A lot longer than Hermes have had HHTs.

RM have only used PDAs for about 2 years.they still aren't fully implemented

We must have been in one of the first areas. As I mentioned, I've been signing RM PDAs for a longer than Hermes have been using them and on the day in question when my parcel was confirmed 3-4 hours before I got it, I was worried as I knew it would have been signed off on the PDA.

Hermes have got nothing on Royal Mail. The Christmas Radio Times arrived on Friday, and we're still getting letters posted in early December. Amazon stuff rarely arrives as it should on the day after posting.

A shambolic mess in serious need of sorting out.

I ordered something online from Topman and it seems Hermes have tried to deliver it.

Thing is, I had no notification whatsoever. It can be difficult as I live in a block of flats and if he can't get into the building he can't leave notification of calling.

So I'd like to contact them but it seems impossible to find details of my local depot as I'd like to collect the parcel. I live in Ilford, East London. How do I find out where the parcel is!?

I think the Amazon problems are more to do with Amazon. Something is up with them and they won't admit it. Things I order from elsewhere come through the next day fine yet my Amazon stuff I'm left waiting for.

I recently orderd a few items from M and M direct. As Hermes being their prefered courier i still awaite my parcel nearly a month later. We live in a block of flats three stories up,with a security entrance, and fully functioning trade button.
After two weeks of placing the order my other half rang up M and M to see whereabouts the order was in the system, they said they would contact the courier.
Having looked online they claimed they had delivered at the following times
    DateTimeStatus
    30/12/2010 13:28 Courier Received
    29/12/2010 04:19 Out For Delivery
    28/12/2010 16:08 Carried Forward
    23/12/2010 22:18 Processed at Depot
    23/12/2010 22:15 Receipt at Depot
    17/12/2010 12:15 Not Delivered - Access Problem
    17/12/2010 09:59 Out For Delivery
    10/12/2010 01:38 Processed at Depot
    09/12/2010 22:39 Receipt at Depot
09/12/2010 02:17 Hub Sorter Receipt Scan
    08/12/2010 09:25 Order Generated

They left no 'we called but you were out' chit. Did they even make it to our front door? Everytime they claim to have attempted delivery we have been in and have even received other parcels from other companies including on the day they stated they had access problems!! The last delivery date states its been received, however we still have no parcel....
I think Santa Claus himself would be disgusted!!
  • Agent has tried to deliver twice so far 1st note told me they would be coming back next day i knew i wouldnt be in ( no contact details on delivery sheet), but didnt want to advertise to the burgalars by leaving note on door .no contact on either i understand it would be a ballache towrite you're phone no 50 + times a day perhaps u could get them a rubber stamp. The only way i can contact is through the website .Agent is coming back tommorrow againim not going to be in . Given a choice royal mail will try and deliver if im not in i can go and pick up my parcel from local office at my leisure. A phone no would solve all this i would even go and pick it up from there house . Hermes is asking for a parcel no they did'nt write that either, which also means i cant leave them feed back on their website . How can i give you any stars if i dont get my parcel , which happened last time. could'nt run a bath
