  • Well I have finally received my delivery after it has been within the depot since 01/12/10 here is the joke though I have asked the courier where the depot is & I had to laugh it is 10 mins drive from home, yet I could not arrange a pick up from it as they do not allow customers on site. I have already had to purchase another birthday gift & additional Christmas gifts for my son & other family members at extra cost to myself, for those who say the weather was the issue no the roads are clear & every other delivery company has been in my street for weeks. I have actually spoken again to my associate who works for Hermes & they have confirmed they have a new courier in my area who started 21/12/10 to replace the one who left in November so that's why I have my delivery before 2011. So to the bosses of Hermes I have to say thank-you for Ba%%sing up my son's birthday because you will not allow collections from your depot even when you do not have a courier in my area here is a thought don't take the work unless you have the staff to deliver it!!!!!.

That's all I could dig up I'm afraid.

You could try the head office. That should p@ss 'em off nicely... :D

we've got the 0800 number but as far as i know hubby hasn't got the number for our depot just a mobile number for the guy in charge there ( i should point out hubbys the courier - i just help!)
  • If "hubby" doesn't have that number, it's probably because there is no number and no depot either, just some t@sser on a self-employed contract with a garage full of our undelivered christmas presents.

Right, I rang H&M yesterday and after a chat the lady said she would e-mail to let them know that the courier should give my parcel priority to deliver once he has scanned them all. Checked my parcel status today:

    Date Time Status
    30/12/2010 09:25 Out For Delivery
28/12/2010 05:23 Out For Delivery To Courier
    28/12/2010 01:09 Processed at Depot
    27/12/2010 19:28 Receipt at Depot
    19/12/2010 23:15 Processed at Depot
    19/12/2010 21:21 Receipt at Depot
    09/12/2010 23:42 Processed at Depot
    09/12/2010 19:35 Receipt at Depot
09/12/2010 11:44 Hub Sorter Receipt Scan
    03/12/2010 21:03 Order Generated

Hopefully I will actually get it today.

Glad you finally got it! I'm still waiting for mine. When I checked on the 20th it was apparently in a sub-depot in Bradford which is literally not that far and the weather was fine too. Hermes take on more work than they can handle, the best way would be to complain to the clients where we ordered the goods from.

we delivered 12 parcels today and i'd just like to say we had a choice - we didn't have to (we were told we could wait till tomorrow) but we did it as luckily for us we have some very lovely customers on our round!

You're a very lucky courier then.
I don't know many in that situation (having a decent FM that gives you choices that is) ;)

the postie doesnt confirm the delivery
that would have been done by indoor staff
    as i said 'blind' confirmation
    unless they are using PDAs

Postie has used a PDA here for as long as I can remember.
A lot longer than Hermes have had HHTs.
