Sorry AK, I'm not familiar with what the situation there is like right now, but the boss of the company is at Morley - perhaps pop along and bop her one on the nose.

She's the one who's had the 270% pay rise while couriers are struggling to make ends meet.

Although the conditions the couriers work under are most likely terrible, they shouldn't be taking this out on the customers. If they are not willing to do the job properly for that price, then don't do it at all. This is obviously aimed at the few which are like that, I know some couriers can be excellent and go the extra mile.
In my case, it seems the individual courier is not at fault. I rang H&M today and apparently there must have been some kind of delay and the courier never got the parcel. I check Hermes online and this is the status now:

    Date Time Status
20/12/2010 05:22 Out For Delivery To Courier
    19/12/2010 23:15 Processed at Depot
    19/12/2010 21:21 Receipt at Depot
    09/12/2010 23:42 Processed at Depot
    09/12/2010 19:35 Receipt at Depot
09/12/2010 11:44 Hub Sorter Receipt Scan
    03/12/2010 21:03 Order Generated

The parcel is in Bradford I believe. Notice how "10/12/2010 Out For Delivery To Courier" has been removed.

So you think it's acceptable for your ebay customers to receive damaged goods?? What's your ebay ID so I can ensure I never buy from you?!

The one and only time I used Hermes to deliver for me they collected 3 days late and the goods were damaged in transit. I had to fully refund my ebay customer so I ended up well out of pocket!! Never again

I wouldnt give my id out on a public forum due to auction wreckers.

I have so far sold over 700 items within around 3 months of trading. From that i have had 5 damaged items which i have been compensated for. I feel that 5 out of 700 is an acceptable amount. My feedback is 100% positive with many repeat customers so i must be doing something right dont you think?

how many of the self employed drivers have proper insurance
goods in transit, for hire and reward etc for your cars or vans?
when parcelnet were doing it i knew a few car drivers who ran on there car insurance which is illegal!
same with takeaway drivers, if you dont have the proper insurance then you can get done by the law

I think many of the companies will know - because customers will have told them.

That's what I said if you read my post.
I said they will have been promised a good service, but will find out when the complaints come running in.

Hermes won't suffer, the Directors and CEO get in excess of £200K per year.
It will be the COURIERS who end up out of pocket - as per usual.

Hermes Parcelnet have always stated categorically that all you need is Class II business insurance.
I'm not saying that's right, I'm just saying that that's what Hermes tell their couriers.
It's impossible to get Hire and Reward insurance for cars. Have you tried it recently? GIT insurance is taken out by Hermes.

What is more annoying is that on the 10th Hermes actually sent me an e-mail stating that I would get my parcel in the next couple of days. Now, if they knew that there was some kind of delay they should have told me! Instead I have been stuck at home for a week just in case I need to sign for it - it is the second time I have ordered from H&M but last time the parcel was small and they just posted it through my door!

It's bang out of order sending you a mail telling you something's going to happen over which they have no control!
THe couriers are self-employed and once they have the parcel they will be delivering it when they can.

If Hermes want to have absolute control over their couriers, then they should start employing them.
Sending out emails which are tantamount to burying their heads in the sand and pretending all's well with the world won't help anyone - least of all you.

I hope it turns up soon....

Can anyone in the know translate this, please? Looks as if the courier didn't receive it, rather than undeliverable? Not sure where it is now!
