Sorry AK, I'm not familiar with what the situation there is like right now, but the boss of the company is at Morley - perhaps pop along and bop her one on the nose.

She's the one who's had the 270% pay rise while couriers are struggling to make ends meet.

I'm an ebay seller, I've also been a courier with them.

Would I risk sending anything with them after seeing how parcels are treated by the employees (not the couriers)?
    Not on your life.
I order things from companies only because I know the client company will produce and I know the courier in my area is excellent and won't let me down. If anything happens in between, I know the client company will sort it.
    As for C2C, forget it.

Have you had to call them with a problem?
If so, what do you do when you get the "contact your client" auto reply message when there is no client and you've booked C2C?
It's bad enough trying to contact them and get sense out of them when you're a courier and know the phone numbers, let alone when you're not!
  • and xs11ax you just happen to be from Hermes HO area and you think they're wonderful.

As for companies who care nothing for customer service only using Hermes I have to disagree. Hermes in gaining the contract will have promised the earth in order to win the contract. The Clients won't know that Hermes tell a pack of lies until the customer complaints come running in.

I think many of the companies will know - because customers will have told them.

Thorntons, for example, certainly know, because they have been told by countless customers that Hermes = problems.

But they choose not to do anything about it for one reason only - it's cheap. That's one of the reasons why Thorntons is fast gaining such a poor reputation for customer service, and why many of the people shopping with them online this Christmas won't be back.

Hermes might be cheap for companies in the short term - but they may well pay the price later when customers go elsewhere.

I call them using numbers listed on saynoto0870.com.

I usually call a number that takes me through to a different dept and ask them to redirect me from there. This is to avoid the 0870 numbers.

I have to hold for quite a while sometimes but i do get through. The call center staff are usually idiots but i normally make them put me through to a supervisor or manager.

I have had some problems with them but considering how many parcels i send i dont think that it is a big deal. I usually get good compensation from them. I got a 100% discount code at one time and also a 50% code another time. That saved me around £200! Also received compensation for damaged items quite easily.

So you think it's acceptable for your ebay customers to receive damaged goods?? What's your ebay ID so I can ensure I never buy from you?!

The one and only time I used Hermes to deliver for me they collected 3 days late and the goods were damaged in transit. I had to fully refund my ebay customer so I ended up well out of pocket!! Never again
