Hi all, not much going on here.Had to take DS into town early for rehearsal for St Georges day parade tomorrow..he's the standard bearer..then quick whizz to garden centre so I can make a start on hanging baskets this afternoon. Just having a quick cuppa and read of the paper before I get stuck in. DH is Boston till tomorrow, then Singapore weds (not sure if I'm going yet..)

hardly been here this week, been working its not too bad (although that could be the valium talking - had dentist this morning for a filling - £75 lighter when I left)

I am well impressed with you Spud, blimey it seems like you have only been on the diet for five seconds. I am meant to be calorie counting - am not doing bad but haven't had a chance to exercise.

ooo a massive good luck to people running in the marthon! xx

oooph I am sleepy, I was really happy actually but as soon as I perk up Mum gets miserable she was complaining about the sunshine (me having said that I was enjoying the sunshine) so i have decided to keep my mouth shut!

Madeira cake. Well, chocolate Madeira cake because I have a tub of cocoa powder from last term sitting in the cupboard doing nothing. I think because of the weight of the chocolates we'll be sitting on top it needed to be a more dense consistency.

I ordered a couple of bits from ebay for the class on Monday (drum board and some colour pastes) but they haven't arrived. If they don't turn up Monday, I'll have to improvise with a large plate and get some liquid colouring instead.

We were away last weekend up in Northumberland which was fantastic,The Sun holiday vouchers are brill. Then been working all week.

I've also signed up to the follow on cake decorating course starting on 1 June. It was £21 with the concessionary fee because I'm on WTC but I'm putting in a form for staff development funding because of them suggesting I be the stand by tutor for the subject.

ooooh, and I got a letter saying all my course fees will be paid for me for CTLLS (the next part of my teaching qual.) The classes start Monday afternoons for 30 weeks. I had £170 paid by staff development but I was able to have the rest paid from the pot of money for learners on low incomes. It was a bit but I thought stuff it, I more than qualify on the threshold levels.
