If you extended the patio bit further to the side towards the fence you would have loads of room for a patio table and stuff...you could keep the grass as it is but grow lots of climbing plants against the retaining wall...

I'm sure they are addictive too spud, one thing cambridge has done for me is break my addictions. I think the chinese we go to has gone out of business now.:rotfl:

I am glad you spent some of the money from the jewellery on something for you spudlicious! I am quite jealous actually. I wanted to go for a run today and it was pouring down. Now i have had a bath its glorious outside...and I know I should not be a wimp and run in the rain but really!!!!

It was times like this morning that I would have loved to have a treadmill. I know you weren't keen on running outside and this could be a good start for you.

I read in running for fitness yesterday though that walking 10k burns as many calories as running 10k but obviously you do it in less time when you are running......so walk/run who cares if it has the same effect!:D

    Thanks Sammy.

I've got to admit, I felt so guilty (still do :o) spending that kind of money on something for me. I keep feeling it should've either gone to the debt, or for something for the family. DH said it was worth spending the money to get me to shurrup about it, I've wanted one for so long.

I WILL use it though. Was on it last night, and got a shock when it took me uphill. I didnt realise it could do that :p

I've just got to start building up for that blimmin 10k now

I have a mad neighbour who vacuums the drive and peers into everyone's wheelie bins when they're lined up ready for the bin men.:confused:

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

I'd like to grow a clematis up the back wall, I love those.
Honeysuckle looks lovely but I can't stand the smell of it.

Dennis loves to play at being a tiger and prowling round in the trees and bushes trying to catch the hover flies.

Yep, you're absolutely right. I said to DH yesterday that the treadie could be my 40th present. His reply was that at this rate, I'll need a whole new wardrobe by then too :T :D

right, cake is in the oven and almost done, washing is all done, also washing up and bathroom done (well, the bathroom has had a kind of superficial wipe :o)

Been super OS and kept the peelings from last night's potates and I've just made potato peeling crisps from them :D with lashings of salt and vinegar.

Finance-y stuff for the day next, then onto AQA.....
