Redruby....I envy you your youth and the fun of a kayak...not for me now and never seemed to manage when I was younger, so enjoy, doggie will get used to it.

Sleep well all, enjoy your Sunday

Oh bless you sweetheart, i do love being outside and doing things, I think it helps with OH's depression too. If you lived nearer, we could take you out in the kayak, you could just sit back and let us do the work, it would be a pleasure, sleep well xx

    sistercas, done deal! Catch! ;)
redruby it sounds like you had a great day...I too am envious, I've never been in a kayak but it sounds fabulous.
sybil, it's very hard for us mums to accept nap time is coming to an end and it's hard for the little ones too as they do get 'past themselves' as we call it here. My advice is to let him burn himself out as much as possible during the day and whatever you do don't let him fall asleep late afternoon/early evening as it will knock his nighttime routine out completely . I spent many an afternoon singing, dancing and bribing very small, over-tired children to stay awake but it was well worth it when in a short time they adjusted themselves into an early bedtime routine. It was certainly preferable to me trying to force them to take naps that they didn't want or need and we all benefited from the new routine. Re the curtains, why not buy ready made rather than using fleece or throws. It would probably make you feel better and be nicer for the little one if they looked good as well as being functional. It's too late now but I'll have a scout around tomorrow to see if I can find any offers for you.

Right, I really am off to bed now.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Pink winged - thank you for your kind post. At the moment LB is nodding around about 1pm and usually (well, about five days out of seven ) is out by 8.30, and I suspect it could be earlier if we weren't trying to fit in around dear heart's evening meal. Please don't fuss about the offers, though it is really kind for you, but I suspect I am the queen of fantasy shopping. :o If I wasn't worried about where I may drop pins I would make them of course, but with LB's track record it scares me to death.

I really appreciate the offer though, so thank you.
