Proud mother alert - both of the Small Penguins swam a mile from 8am at their swim club, in a sponsored event :T DD 16yo beat everyone for speed apart from the boys who have proper "man-sized-muscles". She's very slightly built, so did extremely well, and they're wanting her to swim more distance events

Have a great day, everyone, Penny. x
Well done to the younger Penguins :D

    Hugs to pen-pin.
    Well done to little pen-pens.
My lodger is being collected at 1ish, so will pop to the garden centre when she's gone as the tap attachment on our hose has broken.
Gandmasam, I find doggy lodgers a lot less trouble than human ones.
    Hugs Hester

    Hi Chums
    Weather : Been raining,then sunny,then cloudy - rain again.
Mrs B and I are still in JimJams but we are debating what to do today,Mrs B would like to go to Dagfields,a craft centre in Staffordshire not far from Bridgemere for those that know the area. So we're off about 12.30 - we shall hopefully miss the lunchtime rush and then have a bowl of soup or something quick and then a quick rush round avoiding the rain lololol.:rotfl:Tommorrow Mrs B wants to get into the garden and do some weeding..... I shall help somewhere I guess.Hope Halight is ok, and WS hope you enjoy yr day at the park, hope the happy trio are ok, thats LB,DF and DH. You see i now know the characters in the storyline lolol!! o forgot EC - Evil Cat,she would love the cat bros next door, they seem to have this thing about teasing tadpoles in our pond,i laughed the other day one nearly fell in staring right into the water!!! have fun all:beer:

    Morning :hello:

Well done small Penguins, that sounds such a long way to swim.:T

Glad you are feeling a bit better now PP.

Lazy morning for us -papers,then a spot of tidying and watering in the garden, tho its looking very grey now, cant make its mind up.We're off to football later -Bolton v Aston Villa. What used to be our local before we moved runs a bus up to the ground so we meet our friend there. Its a lot easier than parking up there, dodging thousands of cars on the way out.
Lesley- hope Burnley make the play-offs,theyve done so well this season.Have a soft spot for Owen Coyle-used to play for us years ago.

DH says its raining now-wasted my time watering then,ah well.
Lunch will be bacon ,eggs and tomatoes, and stir fry chicken for tea.
Some more seeds have germinated over night, they are poppies I saved from last years flowers, and I didnt think they were going to work as they have been slow to come through.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, and good results from their teams :D x

I see its the marathon tomorrow. A young lady from SW is doing it in memory of her cousin who was a rugby player from Worcester who was terribly injured and eventually had an assisted suicide in Switzerland - was in the news. I hope she does well and makes l;ots of money for his charity.

Good luck to MSE Neil too!:T

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend

    Afternoon all,

Not the nicest day here, though DGS2 and I are going into the garden in a while, need to get some more work done on the herb bed, its full of docks...10-15 mins seems to be my max digging time if I did that every day it wouldn't take too long, but laziness overtakes me some days.

Have been to see my aunt this morning....first reaction was who was the man with me....told her that it was OH and reply was 'husband! you never had a husband in your life!'...it was all downhill from there, she was having one of her bad days and I copped it from every angle...was telling lies about being her niece...only there to make money from her. It would have been funny if it weren't my clever, kind, talented aunt saying all these things, it was upsetting that the real person doesn't seem to be there any more....will try again in a few weeks in the hope of getting a good day.

We had lunch out before coming home and DD4 has made curry for tea so all done really...no chores either except from a bit of digging and maybe will pot on the coriander seedlings which have done so well.

Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating and welcome to all newbies

Congrats to the junior Penguins :T

Just back from the rugby. Unfortunately we lost 15-32, but it was a good match and London Irish were great to watch. Ds1 is (as I mentioned the other day) an appallingly bad loser and this extends to when the Warriors lose. He just wanted to go straight home but we like to stand at the pitch side and wait for the players to come round, Ds2 got some autographs which cheered him up no end. I enjoyed myself tremendously despite the bad result.

I must congratulate VickyA, the Tigers beat Bristol massively- 73-3 I think!:T:T Hope you had a great time;)

We're about to have some keema curry followed by hm yogurt and rhubarb.

Later me and the OH will watch a film from Lovefilm followed by MoD because West Brom won:j:j

    Have a good evening all.
