    Good morning everyone :hello:

I was asleep early on last night due to having a glass of wine!

We're off to the rugby later today - Tigers v Bristol! :j :j I've got to decide what to get out of the freezer for us to have tonight. Maybe chicken with jacket potatoes (because they were British and I refuse to buy potatoes from Egypt) and a sauce. Just need to get moving!

I'm thinking that I need to sort out the house - possibly a bit of the whole Flylady malarky, but it all looks so exhausting! :o

    Have a good day everyone.

Us too, Warriors v London Irish! I think the Tigers will have an easier afternoon than the Warriors;) It's my third match and I haven't seen the Warriors lose yet. I love it, rugby is a fantastic game to watch even if they do spend half the time standing around for no apparent reason  Great atmosphere at Six Ways and luckily for us it is a 10 minute walk away.

C'mon you Tigers and you Warriors!!:j:j

I have a ton of washing to do and it is raining. Dd wet the bed for the first time in yonks so I've a duvet to dry too.

Lunch will be kipper paste( Craster kippers mashed with butter) and toast plus watercress. The kids can have cheese if they don't like it

Supper will be keema curry and rice.

  • Hi all

Just been listing some old books on Amazon, see if I can get rid and make some money.
Have a load of clothes to sort through too and list on Ebay later but thats a bit more time consuming.
OH at work today and DS at his dads till tomorrow morning so life has a more leisurely pace today:D
my plants are coming on great, need to go round putting extra copper tape on pots later.....it worked last year....except when slugs crawl up fences and parachute off into your pots:rotfl:
My aubergine seedlings have died so need to get some more seeds and try again.
a dress came today from Ebay which I bought for our weekend away next week and it fits lovely.....very posh hotel and fine dining so can`t wear any old thing;)
Redruby the kayak sounds very exciting:D...do you ever go camping(not on a site) as OH very keen to do this but I am not sure I would feel safe sleeping in the open with just a bit of material around me:rotfl: DS would not be going of course.....he would not get his head around that one at all.
Another batch of research stuff arrived today which looks like it will take ages to fill in...it is from univ of cambridge autism research place....I know they won`t ever get to a cure but it may lead to a greater understanding and an idea as to why autism happens:rolleyes:
D&DD you have such a lot going on...hugs....will pm you hon.
MSD delighted you have heard from Tristan in such a satisfying way....may be making the apple cake later sounds delish:T

    well best make a move
    love claire

No the nearest we got was a yurt in wales, and I had a very bad tummy all week, and the loo was a trek away , on the last day I found slugs crawling across the plates _pale__pale__pale_, made me very ill for weeks after, not for me I'm afraid, I need a bed :D

    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
  • Good morning everyone  Old Style jobs for today:
    • I was up early making chicken liver pate - hope it will be set for lunch :o Having it with HM granary toast, and salad
    • weeding and watering in the garden
    • ironing
I am so envious of all the people with rain :o It's been so dry here (as is usual in the Eastern counties) and the ground is now really dusty. Some of our seeds haven't germinated, so DH and I are taking it in turns with the hosepipe in the evenings.

No cooking tonight - DD is off to 2 parties (I've offered to taxi her from one to another at 10pm, so no wine for me this evening :p ) so DH, DS and I are going to see State of Play followed by Pizza Express, courtesy of Mr T :j

Proud mother alert - both of the Small Penguins swam a mile from 8am at their swim club, in a sponsored event :T DD 16yo beat everyone for speed apart from the boys who have proper "man-sized-muscles". She's very slightly built, so did extremely well, and they're wanting her to swim more distance events

Have a great day, everyone, Penny. x

No rain for me either (south yorkshire) but my neighbours say its on its way up the country. I have been hosepiping each night too

:T:T to the small penguins, that is a great acheivement. my DD2 is a swimmer so i know how hard they have worked , well done

on a sour note re swimming , DD2 who is 13 is not able to be dropped off at swimming anymore , we have to escort her through the building and changing rooms to pool side where the coach takes over. due to a couple of 'incidents' with children on the way to training being accosted by weirdos  can you believe it ? its appalling . they have increased police patrols and have covert police there too. you cant let your kids out of your sight these days
  • Morning Guys!
