Oh yes thank you. We're psyching ourselves for the Heineken Cup semi-final next weekend in Cardiff (staying on a campsite thanks to stefejb recommending it to us!). How MSE!
Anyway, I'm trying ironing avoidance tactics at the moment but the pile doesn't seem to be going down by itself.
Supper is cooking - I've gone for jacket potatoes, sausages and baked beans. Not a culinary masterpiece, but uses some sausages I've had lying in the freezer for a month.

Evening all,
Just a quick one to report how it went with the kayak, it was great, we got covered in mud, wet through and very tired, but it was great, can't wait till next weekend, when we can go again. Little dog was not as sure, she spent most of the time on the pointy bit (technical term) at the front with her tail between her legs, she did start to relax towards the end.
We even had to lay down flat to get under a bridge, and push ourselves along with our hands :T
On the way we passed a stall selling local asparagus so we bought some and have just had it for a starter, steamed with melted butter and parmasan, it was delish, followed by pizza and salad.
Going to watch a bit of tv now with a glass of wine , cheers all x0 -
Little bear and darling father have formed an unshakeable alliance. LB managed to filch at least a third of darling father's tea.
Added to all the other treats a nap allergic LB managed to cadge. Including a non age appropriate toy from the park which has been chewed.
Dear heart has told me that he has half put up the curtain rail in LB's room. I am on my way to see it, in trepidation. It's a swish curtain track - how can you half put it up?
Hugs to all, sorry to people I have missed, getting more and more frazzled by all, dear heart has bought a wii, no idea what I am supposed to do with it...
Tomorrow fully expect bilious LB, shattered darling father, exhausted dear heart on his mettle, and while all these problems are very vanilla to all the real problems others have, feel a bit off balance.
And evil cat goes to the vet tomorrow - and yes, she would love tadpoles and I am confident that she would fall in, and then pretend that she hadn't.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

Just having my tea now...OH doesn't want anything, he has had 2 meals to-day and that is his lot...probably why he weighs less than 10 stone too...when I think about it I hate him!
Sybil...I feel that your active young man is trying to wean you off naps....only 2 of my 7 had a regular day-time nap when they were over 2...used to get them off to bed by 7 pm though, so it left quite an evening to do things I wanted to do.
Redruby....I envy you your youth and the fun of a kayak...not for me now and never seemed to manage when I was younger, so enjoy, doggie will get used to it.
Sleep well all, enjoy your Sunday

Late post for me today so apologies as I haven't read through the thread properly yet. The weather was supposed to be bad here but it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day so I spent a lovely Old Style day in the garden....it's amazing how time can run away with me when I'm out there. Peas and beans are planted out, I planted some herbs and more salads, radish and spinach and did a lot of general tidying. Tea tonight was fajitas which always go down well.
sybil, I agree with meanmarie and think your little one might be growing up and nearly ready to drop his daytime naps. With mine early bedtimes were a godsend.
sistercas, I thought Diversity were great too! I'm enjoying a glass of wine now while watching Hell's Kitchen. Swop you a giant button for two mint aero bubbles.
Sleep well everyone,

LB's naps - I am not sure about this... Of course, I have dithering into a science  but LB definitely was shattered today, and got so tired he wouldn't sleep. He also does this when the world is just too interesting. I don't think he needs his naps like he used to, but today was needed to sleep but just didn't want to and it wasn't FAIR. Bless, he was quite good humoured but completely exhausted.
Also lack of curtains are not helping, but dear heart is doing a brilliant job of the curtain rail, so that should be sorted out soon. I don't want to risk the old ones (heavy) but there are lots of inexpensive curtains on ebay. Which is my friend. Or something. I am considering fleece - I can cut to fit without a hem, it will be quite impervious to light, it will be easy to wash if LB manages to do anything to it (what do I mean, if?), it's light and relatively inexpensive. Of course, it will look awful, but LB is not a design critic.
Casserole from tonight postponed to tomorrow. Tomorrow - well, keeping up with darling father who is getting me to sort out the house, so very Old Style. He washed my front door for me today as I was trying make lunch. But I am not keeping up with where things are being put and I seem to be racing around all the time.
Also darling father is frail and really shouldn't be doing anything. So I am rushing round trying to keep up with him and stop him doing too much. Fortunately he can't manage the stairs down to the kitchen (precipitous and no hand rail) so at least I can cook without supervision.
