£300-£400 return flights to Australia, New Zealand, Bali, Singapore

I managed to get London to Melbourne leaving in mid March returning early April for £404.70 – I was planning on going in May 2010 anyway, but couldn’t resist this bargain price on a brilliant airline. February seemed to have loads of availability, but weather’s far too hot then for me personally.
I have a 15 hour overnight transit on the way back – my understanding (please correct me if I am wrong!) is that my checked in bag will go straight through to my London flight. I am planning on taking a change of clothes in my carry on and getting a hotel somewhere on the metro line to the airport. Singapore is dead easy to get around and food is particularly cheap and delicious from food courts – well worth leaving the airport if you’re in transit for more than say 4 or 5 hours.
Moonchild – I can’t recall airfares as cheap as this, certainly not on a premium airline! I seem to remember deals around the £499 mark with Austrian Airlines (sadly no longer flying to Australia) about 8 years ago, but that could be my memory playing tricks!0 -
I have just managed to book a very cheap flight with Singapore Airlines from LHR to Perth for £395 total, so it can be done.
Went to Perth earlier in the year on the A380 and paid nearly £1000 for a return flight.
This booking is for a return flight on the A380 and at £395 I think I got a bargain. You do have to keep trying on the Singapore Airlines site as it is very busy, but well worth the effort.

Just to clarify for everyone. The deal isn't a con. If it was we wouldn't include it in the email and do a note on it.
Of course there's limited availability but we've found many flights for £300-£400 ALL IN. As have posters above.Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

Unfortunately, I do not seem to be able to track any NZ flights from LHR over any of the half term periods within the promotion. Please let me know if people have different experience. I guess I was too late.
Thanks0 -
well have found some to perth and melbourne now 22/3 -19/4 works out at 1873 for 2 adults and 3 children so av 374 each -pretty good if we could take this amount of time off.
Ooh ! and lhr to aucland for 374 but you have to go for a long time 16th march to 21/4 -hope someone can go for that long seems like super price0 -
I found deals for about £500 pp (before tax) from Heathrow to Auckland, Christchurch to Heathrow on Kayak, but then came across flights on STA website (student/people under 26 travellers) with outbound flights just £66 with tax of £313.20, making the outbound, for myself and my boyfriend just £379.20! With returns & online credit card fee, it came to £773.40!! We rang STA to double check we were reading it correctly, and then booked it! Flight dates are 04/03/10 to 24/03/10 with rather long stopovers in Singapore...Looking forward to flying Singapore Airlines though!! :j0
