I think that's a lovely idea about growing flowers! It's something I put my Dad in charge of if/when ... would save a bomb! I sort of quite want daffs anyway!

I know absolutely nothing about flowers. Something light and delicate is all I know, lillies are pretty but heavy and too commonly used, roses and carnations too old fashioned. Shame I couldn't use foxgloves, I love those!

Why can't you? Are they the poisonous ones?

I think it's illegal to pick them

Plus they're really delicate, I'd be carrying a bunch of stalks!

I think that's a supernice idea - not poisonous flowers, just growing your own! I love bluebells and I know it's illegal to pick them in the wild, but loads grow in my garden - can i pick those?

No idea, I'm not great with frowing things, currently all I have is a basil plant taking over the kitchen (nice flowers on that too, and a nice smell.... hmmmm ), aren't they teeny tiny though?

Hmm, might need quite a few! I bet Cinny would know about these things - I can imagine her gathering flowers and putting them in the basket on her Pashley :)

:rotfl: if I have to grow my own bouquet it will be mostly dandelions

Apart from fainting over the cost of venues, we haven't really been planning anything. GREAT tip TPA on the clubcard points thing for rings.

I am a bit stumped between having quite a conventional 'do' or really planning something that reflects OH and I a bit more. We have found a warehouse space turned gallery, in a place in the East End that we love. I am just worried that people will be appalled by the concreteness and also the gritty location. I really want to show films that we have made together and ones that our friends have made, but will people really be interested? And what do you do if you hate cheesy wedding discos and want to play chilled-out electronica?

Not sure who to please. I am not too worried about our families meeting, as I think OH and I are more different to our own families than they are to each other.

Whatever happens it will be MSE :money: (for London anyway)

Can't you get the families to meet for dinner before the wedding so that pressure is off?

Afraid electronica makes me cry so I'm not the person to ask for advice on that one!

I'd book the warehouse though, sounds cool.

Well I called Tesco, ordered a clubcard plus application form so I can get double points on all Tesco spends from now on, and I also got the vouchers from the last 24 months added onto my statement, as I thought it worked like the Boots card and have been binning them thinking they were worthless updates!

    Morning All,

Well the weather has finally taken a turn for the worse down here.

A shame, hope it clears up for later today.
