Just worked it out (not wanting to gloat!) but I think my vespas on 4p/5p a mile. But on top of that you have to put up with awful weather, cold hands and helmet hair! Plus people in cars thinking they're Kings of the road and treat you like you aren't there. *grumbles*
22 mile trip round is what I have too Poolie. My mum has a Fiat Panda and that's on 11p a mile I think (cost £2.50 petrol wise to come pick me up) The new Fiat Pandas are lovely Tete, worth a test drive if you're looking into scrapping you car (just looked on the website and it's like the one my mum has they're offering on) but then I've been brainwashed by my mums love of them.0 -
Birdie - Thanks for that. It is certainly a lot more miles than I am getting out of my fuel. Lucky if I get 250 miles these days. Your mum sounds like she is getting about 400+ miles to a tank which is impressive.
I am feed it one end and it is come out the other nearly as fast. Also it does not sound very healthy even though it just past the emissions part of the MOT with flying colours.0 -
Yey! My gym visit has been rewarded! Went to the vending machine to find that there was 5p left in so I only had to add 50p and if that wasn't moneysaving enough, it gave me two Galaxies instead of one!! Woo! Hope one of them has a free book inside now...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Yay on the bonus Galaxy! I think gym visits should definitely be rewarded!
Cinny, 7 miles is an awful long way! I wish you luck - it takes me about 30mins to run/walk 5km, maybe I'm just slowI bet it's that wibblybum holding me back!
Thanks for the advice about the clematis, girls - I think we have some at the end of the garden so if only I can train it to grow around the corner!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -

Whoop whoop for you! Fandabbydozy! Fingers crossed for the free book!
Just had a call from GAP mystery shopping people wanting me to do a McDonalds MS on Friday evening, they must be desperate as the woman offered me £10 for the whole thing rather than the usual £7 and said that she'd sign me off on the training thingy you have to do online (that I've been putting off!) so I can do it! Free tea, and it's all good practice for when I become as mad as Dinah and do hundreds of MS a month!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Yay, can you believe it - I won a book! :jUnfortunately I went and bought what would have been my first choice in a charity shop a couple of weeks ago  so went for Things I want my Daughters to Know which might be a bit of a weepy, or The Other Boleyn Girl but I've seen the film so hopefully I'll get the first. Ooh, how little things can make one's dayWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Yay for the free tea Birdie, aren't we being very MSE today talking MPG, free chocolate and books and MSing! It's because Dinah's not around, she's a bad influence!
Seriously though, are you going to go MS-mad? Is it really that easy? I might have to look into it...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Unbelievable! You're having a super lucky day - go and buy a lottery ticket!
I love a bit of MS - it tends to come in waves for me though. Sometimes I have about 10 jobs lined up but right now I don't have any! Not sure about the tax thing but I'm keeping record of everything and it's not due until next April so I have time to work it out!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
