I'd like to run but I'm afraid I look like Phoebe from friends when I do so I leave running to emergencies only!
I've found a painful lump in my hand, apparently it's a ganglion (???). I keep playing with it but it makes me feel sick when I do... but I can't leave it alone! Back to the doctors for me it seems, they must get sick of seeing me!

Yup thats what the last developers were got for! I've obviusly never done anything like this before, but I don't want to be stuck working for someone else for a pittance for the rest of my life, so I guess now is the best possible time to take a risk and possibly set ourselves up with our own company doing something we'd get a lot of satisfaction (and more money :p) from.

I run on the cross trainer, my right knee has a nasty habit of completely giving out on me, so I can't do anything that is a sudden impact on it.

My dad has a ganglion in his neck, weird lump that he can wobble about, he's been to the docs a few times because he's had it years but they just say it's harmless. I thought it was gangly'un :o:D

LOL Tete, if only medical terms were as fun as that! I just googled it to make sure it wasn't a gangly'un! I'm quite disappointed that I had it right first time!

Just come back from the dentist. Right little ray of sunshine he is. Charged me £48 for a tiny filling, filled my mouth with salt and sand, then told me my teeth are getting increasingly crossed and may well cause me problems in the next 10 years if I don't get the braces. So getting refered to an orthodontist. Who needed money anyway?!

What a bummer! I suppose it wil be for the best to get braces if he's saying that you could have problems in the future though, it'll be a lot easier to get braces now and nip the problem in the bud than to fix a bigger problem in the future and pay for false teeth! Eeek!

Birdie's right about getting it nipped in the bud. Don't I remember you saying you have some sort of dental insurance/plan thing? What does that actually pay for if you're still paying for fillings when they're needed?

Fillings are £48 instead of £78, and I don't pay for check ups or cleaning.... basically more than anything its a way of having a dentist as there seem to be no NHS ones about!

That is a pain! I am surprised I have never been told I need a brace. I did ask about it as I don't like the way my teeth look.

It is very expensive though isn't it, If you need it you do though

I'm expecting it to be 2-4k, which isn't dire since it's over 2 years, but still over £100 a month to find from somewhere. Also, I refuse to have a brace when I get married (which is ague for 2 years time!), the orthodontist will be told that straight away!
