Lol ours is insured, we went with Argos as it was by far te cheapest, £20 quidco cashback, but actually covers more than some of the more expensive companies. Which reminds me, we really need to reclaim those bets bills!

Okay, so if we're going for the title of worst MSE-er ever - I've totally failed my 100 day no books challenge! It was an accident I'd had an order in my basket on the bookpeople website for a couple of weeks (pre-100 day challenge!) and I was just waiting for the Hummingbird bakery book to come back in stock and it did. And I placed the order. And it was only about 4 days into the challenge... Maybe I should blame you guys for talking about how lush it was

I think the Christmas decs go up straight after Thanksgiving, but I think that's like Easter and changes each year? £244 is really good, that's about the prices I was looking at a few weeks back, from Manchester direct. I don't know what's more hassle, flying via Amsterdam or having to get to Manchester.

Well, I've been to the gym all virtuous, but my MSE-ness got the better of my healthiness on the way back when I spied a precarious Bounty in the vending machine ... sure enough, two for one! As long as I only gobble one half bar at a time...

Poddle I think you can get away with that as it was out of your control, you could have got it in July if you'd been able to. Enjoy the book, I go that a couple of weeks ago and it seems to be foolproof so far!

Cinny I don't have my cats insured, but I do have savings so I guess they'd be used in an emergency. It's something I might look into though. I think age is a factor too, how old is pooface?

Thanksgiving is the 3rd Thursday in November so if you go after that you'll see the Christmas decorations. I think it would be nice to be there over Thanksgiving to see the parade and to go shopping on Black Friday (aka Mega Sales of Doom!)

Tete, you were very right to get that Bounty, who can resist a freebie from a vending machine! It's a gift from above that can't be ignored!

I really want the Hummingbird Bakery cookbook! I think I'm going to put it on my Christmas list (even though Christmas is still many moons away!)

ETA: Hehe Tete, I'm like you, I swear (sometimes uncontrollably and I wish I could think of better ways to get my point accross!) but I don't like typing out swear words because it seems so much worse, it's like admitting that you've got a potty mouth!

Colleague has just been offered the job, not the lazy one, the other one who I hadn't realised had even applied and who doesn't even want it really because he's starting a Masters in Sept one afternoon a week, he's only new in his own post and felt that he should apply for this one because he'd said he was ambitious in his previous interview and it would look bad if he didn't! :rolleyes: Typical!

He's 4 in September, only got one quote so far and it's just under £10 a month. I've seen others offering as low as £4 a month but they want way more details so I'll look more into them on Saturday while OH is at work. Still need to book him in for the Vets, everyone has started working full time so I'm kind of dreading carrying him to the vets, not just because it's a 15 minute walk each way (loud traffic - turning a page too quickly makes him jump!) but I'll have a mega dead arm by the time I get there!

Sorry about his name! My mum chose it not me! His Sunday name is Pippin, you can call him that if you like!
