Prague was lovely in December Dinah, very cold but in a crisp sunny way, we loved it.

Had my interview, I hate them so much I'm terrible at making myself sound good, and I could hear colleague talking and talking and talking before I went in so I don't think I'll have got it. Never mind though eh, I don't really want it anyway!

Gargh over on my cals for the day, need to tidy the house for an hour AND 16 mins of general aerobics to get in on track. Somehow I was hoping to be way down today so I can eat my Graze strawberry, raspberry and white chocolate button snack pack! But 300 cals, I don't think so!

Don't worry about the job Tete, it'd be good if you got it, but as you've said no great loss if you didn't.

No reply off NIM regarding holidays. I might make a holiday spreadsheet tonight....

Just remember Tete is is not quantity of what is said but quality. If you have reminded the interviewer(s) how good you are that the job compared to other people and you have the skills they will be looking for this rather than use somebody who can talk and talk and errr talk.

I can't agree with Paris being only for Spring/Summer - but then I've only ever been in Autumn! Can't actually picture Paris in the Summer.

Couldn't you do a Coach Holiday Dinah? I'm sure you could find one pretty cheap for Italy that goes to a few different places. National Holidays do fab deals - when I was looking for me and OH I found 7days in Italy going to Rome, Florence and Piza (I think!) for about £280.


Just remembered I really have to buy cat food today - would it be totally whimpish to send OH to get it for me?! Need a new cat bowl too as the one I have is a 3 cat feeder (It's not been a good year for Cats in my house ) I have a feeling if I go into Jollies I'll end up spending loads trying to make up for the fact my cat is all lonely on his owny now... but then I have always wanted to get him a panic mouse..

ETA: Tete, I agree with Poolie - what the other person said might have been a load of right tripe! What was the interview for? Can't remember you mentioning it.. I think!

Birdie - Socks are allowed! Plus you needed them, rather than just wanting them (but then who suddenly goes on a sock buying shopping spree?!) I've totally failed on my challenge, ending up getting some Jelly Pong Pong makeup yesterday (the eyeshadow smells like cherries!) and I'm heading to Lush afterwork for some bath soaks. I'm bloody useless!

Tete, I think you could still be in with a chance, don't give up too soon! It aint over till the fat lady sings and all that, and like the others said, it's what is said rather than how much you say. The other bloke is probably all talk and no trousers!

Cinny, I think you were allowed to treat yourself to nice things yesterday, it was an exeption! And aren't you using the money from your Dad to get the lush goodies? That's technically free!

Coach holiday doesn't appeal to me at all I'm afraid, so much time spent travelling there and back just seems a huge waste to me, no freedom to spend longer in one place than another, plus I get really, really travel sick, so the idea of feeling poorly for a whole week, surely thats counted as time off work poorly not a holiday?! We can get to Rome really cheaply, its just Venice is with Jet 2 so it's £119-ish for the flights, I'm used to £1 each way with Ryanair so it seems lots!

From what Tete said earlier this guy is a bit on the lazy side so he has more than likely gone in all pally pally and thought that it will be a walk in the park. Meaning he could get away with talking tripe. I have seen it many times people going in for interviews been in for 45 minutes + and in the end the person who was in 30 minutes ends up getting the jobs becuase they have given a better interview.

The interviewers have to take into account that you do not perform well in interviews. It is not your fault and they will give some adjustment for nerves.

Yeah that's exactly what OH just said when I told him. I'm really really not even bothered about it, I think it's just the tension of the actual interview getting to me. Cinny it's a secondment within my own team - only 2.5 days so would be half a week in this job and half in the other. It is the scale above but because it's pro rata would only work out at about £20 a month extra I think.

Me, I do. I love them! Especially in Primarni or in the sales where they're only a pound a pair. Oooh, I do love my socks!

Cinny I thought you had about four cats?! Watch the remaining one for signs of loneliness, I was reading on the pets board about this, people said when one cat died the other would go withdrawn but then they got a kitten and it perked up again. My two don't seem to bother with each other much and the fight and chase each other, but if one accidently gets locked outside or something the other will wander around the house mewing for her, it's really cute.

Talk of holidays giving me itchy feet again! Don't know whether we're gonne manage NY this year or not, must keep a better eye on flight prices. Gonna hopefully have a night camping in the lakes though in Aug/Sept

That's what I was thinking! So it's like he's bought them for me, right? You know.. without actually being there.. or telling me to buy stuff from Lush..

A sock buying spree would be pretty cool actually, imagine coming home with bags full of pretty socks.. ooo I could do with some new socks!
