Morning Cinny! You're useless, but glad OH is excited! York at Christmas is lovely too
Don't start with the old maid thing, it's me! 27 and not one proposal ever (except off a bald man in a pub once but that doesn't count!)Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I'm 24 (and a half
) but yes they do tend to get married quite young. The girl next to me was 20 and getting married in September. Thing is they all seem to still be very happy 40 years later, so guess something is going right!
ETA: Well I guess I have had a proposal - I just messed it up! Now I'm a confirmed old maid!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Morning everyone,
I don't know what ring size I am , which was annoying when OH asks me! I think I am one smaller than the ring I wear on my rioght hand as that is slightly loose on my wedding finger.
Tete - sorry to hear you are having a bad time at work
That is so sweet of your OH Zig to buy you the ring.
Cinny - bless your OH for getting all excited, have to hold it in for a few months though!0 -
No you're not an old maid while the lovely NIM's still about! Even if you have got a cat!
Meant to say, bleurgh to Colin Firth and Russell Crowe, don't really like any film stars TBH... Cillian Murphy sometimes... Hugh Grant's nice in About a Boy...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Grrr. Bloke at work just walked in 15 mins after the latest start time. Bugs me, we can arrive anytime between 8am and 10am, its a big enough window so why is he always late leaving us to cover for him?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

My mum got married at 24 and had been with my Dad since she was 18. Me and my OH have been together since we were 18 tooo. My Mum and Dad have been married 30 years so they must be doing something right.
I get annoyed because at my work everyone is really anti marriage at a young age so i feel like if i get engaged that everyone will judge me. I think that if I got engaged this year or next, I would probably be 2 by the time we got married which I think is a good age.0 -
Urgh, non pc of me to say but anti-marriage types annoy me. Fear of depending on other people, the break down of the supportive, nuclear family, and the rise of the importance of 'self' above everything else has made our society a very selfish, anti-social place to be.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hmm, just because someone doesn't want to get married I don't think that makes them selfish or means they contribute any more to the breakdown of society!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

It annoys me too! I think if that is their choice then fine but it winds me up when they try and say that its a such a bad thing to get married etc.0

Tete - I have no problem with people who don't wnat to get married, it is when they try and make me feel bad for wanting to do it. Not that everyone is like that but people at work make me feel like i couldn't even tell them if i was engaged!0
