Well I think NIM and I were the only people in the cinema with dry eyes, him because hes a boy type, and me because I've read the book and they changed the bleeding ending which made it a bit generic hollywoody for my taste.
Good news though, NIM and I were accepted for the joint account! Will make spending so much less complicated, one account for bills, one for spends. Will also be £50 cashback on quidco, and we now have access to 8% regular savers. Yum!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hey All
So glad to be finished work and on holiday! Didn't get away from work until 8:30pm but got so much done, I feel totally self-righteous, lol.
Dinah so sorry you are feeling bad, I had a big tantrum the other night when I found a query on one of my MSs. Like 'why is it so hard to balance everything argh!' I think NIM is great for you and you obviously have so much fun together. I still think you're pushing too hard on the money front, and should loosen the reins a bit. I know it's really important for you to build a future, but it's also important to have a little fun now. Have a great film x x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Reins should be a lot less stressy once the joint account is open, as we know bills are covered and what is left is spends, all I need now is for the clubcard plus to arrive and we're sorted. So happy about the joint account. £50 cashback will be a nice boost, and the 8% regular savers will be fantastic (apparently they're being reduced at the end of the month so NEED to ask tomorrow in branch if we can open them then and there so we don't miss out since there are only 3 working days left!)Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

To be fair I was a little teary, granted it was due to my needing to sneeze for 25 minutes at that point but still, it shows I'm not stone hearted right...right?
Oh and hi all, sorry I've been awol but new job and stuff and stuff and dinah is a scary task mistress, she is surprisingly good with that bull whip.
How are we all doing? This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

Are you just rebelling? Multi-quoting is too easy now so you're making as many little individual quotes as possible?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

No literally, I went in the playground at Castle Eden and NIM judged me. Then he went on the swings too. Then I manage to get stuck on the parallell bars. Oh and before we asked the house I said 'have you got some money', he said yes, we got to the pick your own and he only had a card! Amazingly people in fields don't take switch.
Urgh, I know one afternoon out of the whole year isn't bad, it just felt really bungled and when all you seem to do is save for a house you're never going to afford I guess I kind of latched on to the idea of a bit of a celebration. Even down to he took me to Tesco after the walk to get champagne and had no ID so we were refused (made him buy gu chocolates though, he didn't argue).
He's said he has something planned for after payday, 'I made bookings and everything'.
She asked me very specifically if I "have your wallet".
Did not judge her on the swings.
And I kept her from hurting herself on the bars.
And here she is lying about me, I'm thoroughly upset now:(:(
Going to have to go back and make sure theres no other lies about me here.
As for the aniversary, I thought you lot would be proud of me being all MSE and trying to do it when we had money and not go into an overdraft.Oh dear, sounds like a pretty bungled anniversary Dinah! It does sound like he's trying to make it up to you though so don't give up on him! And get him told that someone with such a baby face has to keep his ID on him at all times! It really does sound like he had a Typical Man Day yesterday, no brains required!
Typical Man Day is when we are wrong no matter what we do, which were used to by now.Oh I kind of let him off when we went to Tesco and he sort of rummaged behind the racks of flowers to produce a bunch of white roses (my favourite). God knows why he went there earlier, hid them, and left, insted of just buying them and coming home, but again, thats men for you.
I hid them at 8am that morning and didnt pick them up on the way home as I thought I'd have time to change first. Didnt take em in the morning as my car gets stupidly hot during the day and I'd have left them in the office if I took them in.I don't think you realise how lucky you are Dinah; a lot of us have OH's who don't bother with flowers at all (apart from drunken stolen plants in my case!) and you still got some acknowledgement that it was your anniversary even if it wasn't what you wanted. You've built NIM up to be some sort of King of Romance and he's not, he's a man at the end of the day and allowed some failings. Life isn't all roses and people can't be perfect all the time.
You seem so fed up and I don't really want to have to say this but you'll have to get used to it, the honeymoon period is called that for a reason! It's whether or not you want to stay with the person after that first flush of big romantic gestures and fancy presents and soppy poems (although we've never bothered with those, they make us gag) that proves the relationship. Yeah, my relationship isn't all flowers and champagne and celebrating every little anniversary and can't-keep-our-hands-off-each-other-gotta-do-it-now but we do love each other, we make each other laugh, we're matched intellectually, we share similar interests and respect that we have separate interests too and leave one another to pursue them. I know that we'll make a solid, happy, loving family unit when we get older and have children and I'd swap flowers and chocolates for that any time.
Hear hear. And for everyones information I have plenty of them up my sleeeve. Are you just rebelling? Multi-quoting is too easy now so you're making as many little individual quotes as possible?!
No I just prefer to do it this way, and I had to respond very quickly to certain things missy. Now you go sit in the corner and think about everything you've said about me. You do be in trouble little missy.
Anyway now to make a couple of little announcments
I have a few bits planned for next week. I'll admit the big one I have up my sleeve is DEFINITELY not mse in any way but she is worth all that and more, even when she does cause me to drive to work mildly concust. Even in my blurry eyed very sore skulled state I love this woman more than I can ever put into words, yes her taste in light fixtures is both apalling and hazardous to your health if your over 4 foot tall but hey we all have failings.
I would also like it to me known that my plans stretch over a couple of days so you guys wont hear about it all until at least monday after next.
Any comments or questions, you all know where I am and this multi quote was done OLD SCHOOL STYLE
This one may have gotten away from me slightly. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
For the record I dont think she is lying about me in general, and lie might even be a bit strong. But its easier than saying "she is spinning mild misconceptions and falsehoods about me"
