Don't be silly Dinah! You've tried to do something, and if NIM hasn't tried to do anything in return it's his loss. Don't let him make you feel like an idiot!
And as for having a yakky warm and fluffy outlook on life, it isn't all that bad! Means we can aww over kittens and want to go on the swings without feeling judged!0 -
I did go on the swings today. I was judged.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Just busting all my words of encouragement here Dinah.
What about kittens? Did you try awwing at kittens?
To be fair, I'd be fuming with OH if he did this. Maybe he's just waiting until you go out to the cinema tomorrow?
ETA: Crikey, over 3000 posts now, I think you'll need to think up that 3rd phase soon..0 -
Urgh.Tbf, he did try and argue that it was cos its 4 days before payday, he has no money, he has a suprise coming up next week etc, but I think that's right up there with 'the cheque is in the mail'! If he'd just said nothing was happening, I'd have been okay, its the fact that he makes a big deal about being romantic that gets to me because I stupidly got my hopes up that he indeed would be romantic!
Some nights I miss the days of commitment free strangers in bars. Usually he'll then do something to pull me out of feeling like that, but right now I'm laid listening to Snow Patrol in order to go from feeling angry to just so bleak I can't see the point of waking up in the morning.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Third phase - Dinah returns to normality and stops being a sap?! Incidentally I've thought of how to pay off the overdraft so I can go into the month and the new wage system with a clear slate. The £350 in the ING account, use that. I've kind of been thinking its a bit pathetic having it there, certainly premature, today kind of confirmed my view that romance is best left to movies.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I'm going to go to bed before my new negative attitude becomes entrenched and wreaks my thread. NNDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I wish I could say something to make you feel happier Dinah, but if you ever need a good old nag you know where my PM button is. And it hasn't ruined your thread either, we're all here for you when you need to vent so don't worry. Hope you feel better in the morning!0

Whooooooo finally nightshift for 3 weeks. Sorry just felt like a really late night/early morning post.
Bear update in a moment just for Tete
Slept like a log last night (Although don't think logs snore - has anybody checked?). Decided to do something about OH's baggage problem and the main car key (the remote central locking on) due to muppetjet.
Phoned the Toyota garage and the damage was a lot less than I thought. £70 for a new key and for it to be programmed (about 20-30 minutes work). If the old key re-appears it will mean we both have remote central locking keys and my key can go as a proper spare. So nipped down the V5 and my driving license as proof so they could order the key.
Got them to look at the door seal as well because it is make an annoying noise so she (Car) is getting a new door seal (under warranty) and I am getting a touch up pen of paint because the car door has been caught right on the edge and it is annoying when you look at it the wrong way. Will mean I will have to watch behind her ears but saying that she is dirty after being in the underground garage (nowhere for the car exhaust fumes to go except on the clean cars).
Bear Update!
Well I haven't been strangled yet although there alliance with the bananas looks like it is still in the early stages. Think I will need to take the router and the tv remotes to Paris with me to stop the bears getting anywhere near the internet or sky. Could you imagine the bears posting on here laughing as they spend my money.
Also overheard rumours from the bears that they are worried about the vaccum cleaner so I may have a weapon against them. Just got to keep them away from the picnic hamper - you remember what yogie was like.0 -
Good Morning, gosh it got a little bleak in here last night, poor Dinah! I guess it makes sense to remember that however we build men up to be Fairytale Princes they're still just men at the end of the day and we have to accept that they will let us down from time to time. I'm sure he's got something up his sleeve, even if he didn't before he'll certainly be planning something now to make it up to you! Don't go throwing your 'secret' wedding money away just yet, you'll probably regret it, after all this is half a day of disappointment in NIM out of a whole year, that's pretty good going IMO! I can't believe you were judged when you went on the swings! Miserable judgers, I bet they're just jealous! I'm glad no-one saw me on the silde the other week!

I was proud of myself last night; I went to the gym without OH and did a whole 30 mins on the cross trainer, I know this isn't very good really but for me it's quite impressive! I think I overdid it on the ab cruncher weight lifty thingy as my tummy hurts today, I hope that means it's going to be all toned soon (albeit hidden by a layer of 'insulation'!)Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Morning, it DID get very bleak on here - Snow Patrol and everything! What happened then? Just nothing? Our one year was on a weekend and I'd thought we'd do something but we ended up at a birthday party on the Saturday night and then not even spending the Sunday (the actual day) together. But practically every evening/weekend we spend together is special, so I tried not to let it get to me.I did go on the swings today. I was judged.
Was this literal or metaphorical?
Some nights I miss the days of commitment free strangers in bars.
Now come on! You don't mean that!Slept like a log last night (Although don't think logs snore - has anybody checked?)
If a log snores in the forest and no-one is there to hear it, does it really snore?
Blur tonight I'm all excited!! So finish at 1 today and off tomorrow, yey! When do you see McFlurry Birdie?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
