Hehe Tete, you old Fogey, did you go dancing at the 'Disco'?! ;)
Busted came before McFly who came before Jo-Bro. Jo-Bro are poor American contenders to McFly's crown of awesomeness IMO! They were in Camp Rock, if you've seen the mechandise about and wondered what it was!
I'm still giggling about saying 'Chanello' Cinny!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Just been down the pub and we managed to persuade one of the guys at work to buy us a drink, very mse i feel haha!

I have a friend who is a complete shopaholic and yet I am pretty sure she is in more debt than me. She recently bought a pair of Jimmy choos, they were on sale at 155 but still!! Think she has come to her senses a bit as they are on ebay. When we were at uni she would moan she had no money yet she would still go out and buy 50 pounds owrth of underwear or go and order a dress from a ctaalogue. She used to get money from the uni becuase she was so 'skint', i just think there were people more worthy!!

Does your sister have a great job Cinny or just lots of credit cards?
She's a cleaner, and not a single credit card! I really don't know how she does it and still has money in her account. The chanel bag was bought from the bank of mum and dad, but she saves up for everything else. But if you have the money and want it, why not? Like my Nan says, You can't take it with you! Still, I couldn't part with that much money!

Ooh, that reminds me! Jimmy Choo are designing some shoes for H&M, bringing them out in November or something!

I don't know, Jo-Bro are slightly nicer to look at. Although they do sound in serious pain when they sing.

Well your sis sounds very sensible then Cinny, I always thought she must be some mad spendthrift as she was on at you for saving, I guess she likes the thought of saving with a goal in mind and can't understand why you'd save for what she sees as the sake of it?

Been dooyooing all afternoon, only written one review but been catching up on rates and my eyes have gone square! Half an hour til the weekend though!

I'd always say you need some savings, what if your circumstances were to change and suddenly you needed to buy a car, or things like travelling to a funeral, or a deposit for a flat. Personally I don't think material goods bring happiness, and therefore I find it really hard to justify buying 'designer' goods when often there are much better looking ones cheaper and more original in little shops, I think its all about balance, not denying yourself and making sure you enjoy life, but at the same time making sure you have a solid financial backing should anything unexpected happen.

I think it is fair enough if you have money to spend it. My OH isn't in debt at all, so i feel bad for telling him off for spending when he obviously hasn't got in any toruble money wise. Saving is also a very good idea. Would love to be able to do a mix of the both!

She is a bit of a spendthrift really! Just a careful one, she buys the big things at the start of the month and budgets the rest. She's a real shopaholic, and when she can't buy anything she gets on at me to buy them instead. It's like being on a diet and forcing your friend to eat some chocolate while you watch I suppose...

Dinah - You're right, but that balance between saving and spending is really hard to find! So I just save like a crazy lady instead!

I did plan on attempting to use that multiquote thing but I need to go and cook tea so I'm rushing!

Cinny, I saw some pink napkins in Tesco today that had cupcakes on them. I saw them and thought of you! I was thinking you could use them to give people a taster of some of your cakes. (As in put a little bit of cake on a napkin. Obviously.) :o

We have a farmers market here and I was at the cake stall deciding whether to buy a toffee and banana cake when I realised they were doing tasters. I tried some and it was gorgeous so I bought it, even though it was £3 and I was skint. So there might be people like me who are majorly swayed by taste! Sorry, you've probably already thought of all this!!

Hope everyone is ok and planning a fun weekend! :)

Tasters ALWAYS persuade me to buy cake so long as it has lots of frosting on it!
