I think your OH is probably just used to being with you and talking face to face Tete, and is a little sensitive cos he misses you. I'm not a fan of texting, far too easy to misunderstand based on a gramatical error!

Then you get fed up of being told that you're being mardy so you actually get a little short and fall out ensues!

Which is exactly what happened the other night! And I DID give kisses AND called him precious bum but no, I'm being a misery, GAH!

Sounds like a manic couple of days Birdie, good luck with it!! You've reminded me it's Blur next Thurs!!

Birdie - That's so nice to give your MiL a (kind of) pamper day! What a pain with the racing ladies though, did they have the big over the top hats?
They did have the big hats, I was quite jealous! One woman had a massive fascinator, there were feathers everywhere!
I've warned MIL that she has to save up her 'pocket money' because I might get a little carried away! She's got a lovely figure so she'll be really easy to dress! I might bring my Mum along too as she knows clothes and she has Boots discount so we can get her all No. 7'd up for less!

Just had a call from my sister to ask if I want to go to Old Orleans tonight, she's being awful nice to me lately. She'd already said she's going to buy me some Chanel foundation, and now taking me out for tea. If we were in a relationship I'd think she was going to pop the question.
Hmmm, I wonder what she's after?! Have you got anything she'd want to borrow?! I'm a bit cynical because my brother only treats me when he has an ulterior motive!

Don't go there, it'll make me feel old! At the BBQ I was at with the young waitresses last weekend we made the mistake of asking if they remembered Take That first time round... I could have cried!

Ah I used to love Take That, they played up here the other week and I mentioned after the event to OH that I would like to see them now as they're actually really good this time around too, and he said 'oh we could have gone' - his two sisters had tickets but they just didn't bother going!

Of course I remember Blur! Admittedly only because they were on the radio the other day, but still. Have fun at the gig!
I was only just born when Take That started bringing songs out, I'm making up for lost time now though!

Birdie - McFly evny! I used to have the biggest crush ever on Tom.
You'll be acting like a Mrs Gok Wan with you MiL!
I think she's after something, the Chanel foundation is because I 'don't have any good stuff' I use benefit! Not figured out Old Orleans though, I'd like to think she's just being nice...

Feeling guilty as I've done almost no work today. Done a DooYoo review though, so at least I can tick something off my list.

 Silly people! I'd love to have seen them on this tour. OH offered to take me but 1. I couldn't afford it and 2. I'd rather not get all 'oooh, Gary Barlow!' infront of him.

Way to make us feel EVEN older!! I think I like Take That more this time around, I was never that into them in the 90s - I was a bit of an indie kid!

And I'm totally too old to like McFly :D

ETA: I agree on the texting issue, but also, silly boys! I like the idea of you being Birdie Wan - maybe it's a new career move?

Lara - that sounds exciting! Still annoying about the jury service, but your holiday decision sounds like quite a nice one to make :)
