6th of June! It's still 5 1/2 weeks away! Is it totally off the cards for you then? Have you heard any more about the accident?

Are you going to kick us for if we keep talking weddings Dinah? :(

    Afternoon everyone!

Cinny quite glad to hear that you didnt get the microwave, had awful visions of you doing yourself some serious harm!!

Got a check for £18 this morning yay!! We went to london in january and i sent off the oyster cards about 2 months ago for the money to be refunded - had completely forgotton about them and today i got the cheque in the post.

OH is at work today, so going to try and get on with some decluttering and listing some things on ebay, just dont have the motivation to do so.

OH still cant make his mind up where we are going on holiday, i dont really care where we go aslong as its hot!! But he is being mr fussy as ever!!

    Afternoon everyone!

Went back and re-read your first post Dinah and still can't get over the clearing £16K in 10 months! It's encouraged me to pay a bit more this month and I'm now under £11K (just)! Does anyone know if you can over-pay on loans as this will be my longest debt (3 years to go) but should have everything else paid sooner?

Aye the wedding thing is starting to scare me again tbh! You're only allowed a wedding comment if you make a money comment at the same time, thems the rules in my thread.

Been reading the MB guide for the fourth time and I just don't get it. I have an A-level in maths so I really feel like I should, but I think it's all the gambling-words. I've never placed a bet in my life, so I don't understand any of the jargon! I nearly get it though so might see if I can do a productive trial £10 bet this weekend and see how that goes.

    Hi Swinstie

You need to read the Ts & Cs of your loan, some allow it some don't. If yours doesn't put the money into a savings account once you have cleared the other debts, this will enable you to make an early final settlement on the balance once you've saved up enough. Best of luck!

Swinstie - i think overpayment of loans varies, some charge you for making over payments, others dont, you would need to find out from the company i would guess
