LOL Dinah! I'm 'lucky' as I'm the broody one who turns to goo every time I see a baby but OH is absolutely petrified of them so I think I won't be 'allowed' one for a few years, he says he'll want one when he's 30 which is 4 years. If he started to get broody we'd be scuppered! That said, he can't wait to take his boy (he doesn't really think about what will happen if we have a girl first!) to the rugby club, and to coach him in the junior team when he's old enough. He's just worried about the 5 years before kids get interesting (in his opinion!). I do fear that all of my spare time when I'm a mum will be spent shuttling kids between sports activities; I think we'll have the fittest kids ever if it's up to OH!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Aw Dinah, bless NIM! Good luck keeping your sensible head on! I'd be useless at being sensible if my OH said he was broody!
Lol Birdie I'm exactly the same! I see my OH with our friend's kid and he's so good with him! He does want kids one day though which is good, just not in the near future!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

I'm lucky in a way, for us to try would involve me having to book into the doctors for a minor procedure, so at least a weeks cooling off period, no sudden rash decisions. Thing is if we had a house, I don't know what I would be doing. On the one hand I don't want to give up our 'us' time, plenty of time for kids later, don't want to waste the special newly minted sensation, but on the other hand, hormones make you do silly things!
Actually my main incentive not to do it is NIMs mother, if I got pregnant I swear she'd be sending assassins after me.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Yeah I see what you mean, once you have a kid there's not much chance of the honeymoon period!
Would she not be happy? You've been together quite a while now haven't you? My OH's stepdad has been asking when we're gonna have kids since I was 16... :eek:Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

One year in two weeks, so no, not that long compared to a lot of people. And she'd be destraught, she's told NIM he's ruining his life if he has kids before 30, and she has no desire to be a granny so not to ever expect any help off her. Couple that with the fact that she can't stand me, no she'd be very not happy.
I'm thinking maybe I'm broodier than usual today because I have bad cramps, and if I was pregnant I'd be rid of them!!!! Not the best reason for getting pregnant me thinks.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

OH's mum has been desperate for me to get pregnant pretty much since she first met me; she's an avid churchgoer and is quite traditional about being married before having babies (and it was a massive disgrace when OH's brother got divorced, and a very nasty shock when she found out that he met his new girlfriend whilst he was still technically married!)... but she has made it clear that she'd rather have grandchildren than to see us married soon if she had the choice! I think she's pinning all of her hopes on us as the other brothers don't seem to have a lot of luck with the ladies!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Lol yeah my mum would love us to have a baby, but I am still at the point where I'm so insanely loved up with NIM I don't want to rock the boat. Cramps are killing me though - why can't I have a hot water bottle at work?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ooh baby talk again. Making me broody!!
Some good news on the money front. OH bought a scratch card this morning (something i am always telling him off about!!), but this time i will let him off as he won £30 and gave me £26 of it to put on the HSBC CC. Not a vast amount i know, but im pleased that he thought to do that rather than just spend it like he normally would!
Not long until my holiday now!

I know i never thought i would say it but i think he is gradually getting the hang of MSE!!!
We fly out on Sunday morning, but we're flying from the airport near OHs parents so we have to drive up on saturday evening after i have finished work - getting very excited!!
Oh and on another MSE front from OH he has been saying that he thinks there is no way we will spend all the spending money we have saved up and we will pay what we have left when we get back onto the credit cards - so proud! lolBiggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0
