Hello Dinah
I never did read your first diary although obviously saw it sitting there every day but it was fantastic to read your first post on this one and I take my very huge imaginary hat off to you. What an achievement!!!

Ooooh new people, thanks for posting and saying nice things - the old thread is still there if you ever happen to run out of novels and need something to read for a few weeks!
After a complete drought of MS jobs, just managed to nab NIM a bookies and a phone call for next week. Would be the perfect MSE story if we won our house deposit on a mystery shop!

What a story, and well done to you and NM for getting your life back on track.
Your story should be made available to potential new members of this site who have debt problems to encourage them to face up to their problems and let them know of the support and friendship that exists here.
Again, well done.:beer:Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0 -

Oh my word Dinah....
What an inspiration!!!
I love the fact that you got your man... I only wish I was lurking around here sooner!! I;ve lurked on loads of the other boards, but not these - and now I wish I'd read your story as a saga!

Oooh, only a week and a day until The Meet! I told OH about it and he thinks I'm going to be kidnapped and murdered... he really has no faith in online friendships! LOL! You're not scary kidnapping murderers are you?!?!?!?!
I'm not. Can't speak for Dinah or NIM!! My OH thinks we're a bunch of saddoes (even though I met him on the net ) - "What are you going to do, get together and talk about discount vouchers?"
Look at all these new people saying hello! I guess people were intimidated by the sheer size of the last one!
I've just bought a yellow jacket in the Topshop sale (Cinny's fault!) - not sure if it clashes with my blonde hair or not though, will give it a few days. Also went to get a new battery for my watch and the man in Timpsons said it would be £9.95 () because it's a Fossil! I'm sure I can get it cheaper than that, that's extortionate! And my ISA transfer STILL hasn't gone through :rolleyes:Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
It isn't my fault Tete! I just spoke of pretty red dresses, not a peep about yellow jackets.. okay, it most likely is my fault. You can send invoices too Lady Cinny of Retford..
It's nice having new people saying hello! (Not saying us regulars smell or anything.. *ahem*) I think you're right Tete, the last thread was a little, erm, large.
Right off into town now, not going on Darcy (Not Colin Firth, my Pashley I saved up for with the cheering on of the ladies on the old thread! For the new readers!) as it's too windy, was horrible coming home on the vespa. Will behave though, and maybe only over spend by £10no no, I will keep to the 'treat' budget!

Cinny, you are definitely to blame for Tete's jacket, in a good way though! And you've got to make sure you stick to your treat budget, we can't have you looking bad on the first page!I'm not. *having driven across most of the country, sits down, opens laptop and (without even a cup of tea and a wee break) logs on to MSE*
Jeez, I go away for a few days and you've moved house! Can't believe I missed the grand unveiling! A very big warm welcome to your new home and super duper debt-free status (except for the £3.36 was it...?)
:jCongratulations to Dinah and NIM!
My dad took me out to dinner last night and I was regaling him with your story - every time he thought he'd changed the subject, I'd be like "AND she did this... and then THIS happened..." I felt a bit emotional reading your first post too - I will celebrate your success in my own way, with a cup of tea and some fairly MSE half-price giant (chocolate) buttons in your honour! And even though you won't need it, good luck with the £40k challenge!
ps. You should definitely book Paris - guilt free and debt free, what a combination!
pps. Hello to the other ladies too! And new 'faces'! Tete, I think it was very considerate of you to buy new things to celebrate Dinah's special day! And re the watch battery - I replaced my fossil battery in a Timpson about 2 months ago and it was £6.95 for a normal battery and £9.95 for one with 'forever' guarantee which is quite a bargain. Obviously, I've misplaced my receipt, but that's not the point! Have you noticed that there is always a man working in Timpsons who looks like the creepy figure in the window?!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
