Morning all
N9eav we had the same happen to us with OH car last weekend he left it in a road to do a walk with the scouts and cubs and when he went back the next day someone had ripped the rear windscreen wiper off and the passanger mirror had been ripped off and thrown in a ditch probably the same fella with 2 rottweillers in his garden who verbally abused the 7 kids who were walking on a public footpath with rucksacks and uniform on yet when they turned round and went back to the leaders who were keeping an eye from behind he lost the power of speach as they all walked past. Thank goodness i wasnt there:mad:
Today is ironing as i have line dried all the washing this week dont think there will be time for anything else as there is quite a bit
Tea is freezer roulette
need to txt DD1 as she has gone to Ypres today and left at 4.40 this morning so will see how she is getting on
Hugs to all who need them have a good day0 -
Morning all,
Things to do before I collect DB2 from the train station at 2.45.
Make bread, polish, make split pea & onion soup, bake an apple cake, iron table clothes, wrap DB2's b/day pressies. (he can take them back with him, his B/day is not until 14th May, but had so many pacels go missing I don't trust the P O) make brocc/cauli cheese.
Dinner tonight will be haddock, new pots, peas & salad
I have made a leek, pepper & mushroom quiche for dinner tomorrow to go with cauli cheese, jackets & salad. I'm cooking tomorrows dinner today as we will be out and about all day. DB2 want's to go to stunning Wells cathederal, mooch around outdoor market, climb the Tor and go to Rural Museum. DD2 & DGD2 are coming here this aft. to see DB2 and meet his Lady friend.
Sooooo looking forward to seeing DB2, haven't seen him since November. The Melanoma continues to spread but fortunately no signs of any on his face.
He has told 2 of his kids but not the 2 younger ones. I will spoil him rotten and love every moment.
Oh well up & on.
(((((((((hugs))))))))) to lots of poorlys and poorly furry friends.
SUNNYDAY & RAVELESLEY, Glad I bought back happy memories re - pushing cars/vans. I'll remember it for a long time.

I made THIS with my aubergines last week and it was delish0 -
sistercas - That looks gorgeous, may have to have a go at that! I like moussaka but have never tried cooking with aubergines myself.
Pen-Penguin - Victoria sponge! How lovely that you have goldfinches. All we ever seem to see in our garden are wood pigeons and magpies! I did see one bluetit the other day, but no sign of it since. I suppose the magpies scare the smaller birds away. And I don't put a bird feeder out because there are so many cats around here.
betheebee - Have a lovely time with your DB!
tired mum - Sorry to hear about the car, some folk are so stupid!
mrs mix - Glad to see you!
Sorry not much OS happening here atm, just not up to doing much
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
Morning everyone - hope you've all had a good week? Mine's flown in as I was really busy and away from home for three days. Now back in the office and catching up with things here.
Struggled to get out of bed this morning. I don't sleep that well when I'm away from homeand me and DH have been like ships that pass in the night over the last wee while.
Bought some fresh scallops, hot smoked salmon and some crab meat when I was away - so looking forward to having some of that for tea tonight with salad. Might keep the scallops til tomorrow night and have them fried in garlic butter - yum!
Not been doing too much OS with being away from home, but have the cleaning and ironing to do tonight. We've got friends coming off the evening ferry tomorrow who're staying for a couple of nights.
Hope everyone is okay and that you all have a good weekend0 -

Morning.
Me again. Does'nt anyone else get up early?
I only go to bed at 12.30 and then it takes me about an hr and a half to get to sleep cos of the flatmates snoring and then cos its hot and I am worried about things I don't tend to sleep well. Then flatmate is up at 6 am and disturbs me and puts his bed up etc.I try to go back to sleep cos but it is uncomfy on the sofa and very light in the flat as we only have one curtain that doesnt go across the broken pelmet and then usually even if I do get back to sleep, the chav in the flat downstairs plays pumping Rnb garbage that wakes me and gives me a nice headache to start the day.
I don't think I have had an actual good nights sleep in the last 5 years what with not having a bed etc and I feel permanently tired. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Morning all,
Mrs Mix, it's great to see you posting again.
Penny, Have you ever made fifteeens? They're very calorific and not exactly baking but my lot love them for a treat.
Ivyleaf, sorry that you aren't feeling too good.
Belated birthay wishes to stefejb and Mr CM.
It's been a busy busy week here. I've been out and about a lot and spent loads of time in the garden so I've neglected the housework. Any excuse. So that's what I'm up to today. The only problem is my hands and arms are aching because in my wisdom I decided yesterday to make pasta from scratch to make canelloni. I don't have a pasta machine so was doing it all by hand...never again! It tasted ok but definitely wasn't worth the effort.
Dd goes back to uni on Monday and has requested roast pork and roast chicken before she goes back so it's pork for tea tonight. I'm looking forward to the weekend but unfortunately we've been forecast rain and more rain so I'm not sure yet what we'll be doing.
I hope you all have a good Friday.

Morning all,
Going to do a mini shop this am to keep us going until the end of the month...only got €33 to see us through so will have to be careful...OH is coming with me so might be a problem!
Dinner tonight is fish, oven chips and peas....nice and easy for me.
Going to see my godmother, my last surviving aunt (born Aug 1909) tomorrow...she has been in a nursing home for several years...she has been losing her memory and may not know me, but we were very close when I was young, a real Old Styler, my last link with my mother...OH is coming with me, which is good as I may get upset.
Going to look in a reclamation yard as a friend has told me that they have old solid fuel stoves....not sure what type she meant so want to have a look before buying a new one....
Have a good day all
