Have u looked at the other thread for this? CREST whitening stripes seem to be all the rage. Available online. Research it well though. TOOTHSMITH has a lot to say about it. I suggest u search his messages. x0

i remember seeing a post, or maybe a post with a link to a web site that gave instructions for making your own teeth whitener.
I only remember it because it said to use Hydrogen Peroxide (8%) BP, which is what I use for mouthwash. You can get it from the chemist and it comes in different strengths.0 -

Someone asked about this on the previous page.
They use proper dentists, so it's legal, and safe. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -

If you are suitable, but want a quicker result, something like Zoom or Brightsmile, backed up with the tray and gel systems will produce an instant 'wow', but the problem with the laser systems ion their own is that the results can fade pretty quickly. Not all practices do this method though. I don't.
Hurrah, today I got the date for my braces to come off. I'd like a whitening treatment and, I'm sure you'll understand, would like an instant 'wow' - and after 18 months as an adult brace wearer I dare anyone to call me shallow on that one! I would only want a treatment from a dental surgery.
I'm not so struck on the idea of ongoing tray and gel systems as I'll have to keep using a retainer and don't want to faff around with both. Would probably get mixed up and melt my (expensive) retainer!
I've seen local dentists offering Zoom, Britesmile, etc. What are the options on these types of systems, are there differences, and what should I expect to pay?
Apologies if this has already been covered but it is a very long thread!0 -

I have spent the last 30 mins reading this thread and still feel non the wiser.
I'm about to go to a large event and want my teeth to be white, at the moment they are very discoloured and its embaressing. I hate smileing.
So yesterday I was on facebook and an advert kept popping up about a teeth whitening product that is 36% Hydrogen Peroxide. It was only £20 so I thought I would investigate. How can they get away with this if its not allowed in the UK? They say its safe on the FAQ.
But after doing google searches I have read everything from burns and now that the gel breaks down to free radicals that could be a cause of oral cancer.
The head is exploding with information. Then some dentists charge £99.00 for a laser whitening and then others £500
Then there are all the different prices and options for the teeth whitening gel ones.
I'm completely lost. I don't want to spend a fortune. I'm in London btw.
What price should one be paying and what is the best option?
Im not about to do ebay and the baking soda thing don't work for me.
Thanks
Try Crest White Strips as mentioned. It def works but it wont give you pearl white teeth.
Its not available in UK shops but you can buy it off the net. I bought mine from ebay.
Its easy to use. Its like sticking cello tapes to the upper and lower teeth for 30 mins twice a day.0
