Why not just get him his own head for yours?

More than one person can use it with their own heads. That's why the heads have the different coloured little rings.

He would need supervision to make sure he's using it properly, but yes - a 9 yr old can use one.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

I'm now thinking of getting my 9 year old son one (he's nagging me for one ).

    Are these suitable for children?

they are suitable for kids, but the 7000 might be a bit high powered for him as it osscilates and pulsates-though it might be worth trying him on the lower power setting (there are 2 on the 7000)
if it's too much for him, you could buy one the really cheaper and slower rechargables like the oral b vitality or the probrights which are generally less than £20.
  • Just seen a telly ad for Blanx they say its natural and all that, but I guess its like all the others eh?

    Hi,

Yes, it had dawned on me to get another head for this brush. I'm going to try that for him. Thanks.
  • Anyone who thinks an electric toothbrush is better than an ordinary one is a quack, plain and simple.

    Interesting view.

    Any evidence?

Here's something I found with a quick google. Seems to sum up my 'quackish' point of view :D

there are independent clinical tests that prove that electric toothbrushes remove more plaque than manual toothbrushes.
