I think it unlikely. If it's safe to use at home (without the necessity for goggles), it probably won't. I had mine whitened at the dentists - very easy to do. It cost £350, but it was worth every penny. I was given 9 syringes of whitening solution - that was over 2 years ago, and I've just started on no. 4. The whitening solution still seems to work fine, even though it's way out of date by now, and only takes a treatment every 2 months or so to keep my teeth white. Even whitened fillings, which the dentist said it wouldn't.

saw my dentist asked hi best way to whiter teeth
said use a whiteing toothpaste like colgate but said they do , do whiteing.

    they use 10% for kids
    16% for adults
and 22% for really bad stained teeth

    anyway just got myself some
Crest Whitestrips but only the 4% ones.( hope this is not too low just dont want to damage my teth by going higher)
heard these are safe andf just contain the stuff what the dentists use in the uk
hope 4% is not to low
anyway as anyone use these ?

  • Yes they work really well, like the previous poster I buy mine when in the USA. They are like 3 inch strips of sellotape for your top teeth and a similar but not quite the same shape for the bottom teeth. I cannot wear the top and bottom at the same time because I am aware of them and keep running my tongue around them. You must not brush your teeth before you put them on but you can brush them after. My teeth are very white but I only use them about once a week or less - usually if I am going somewhere "nice".

I'm thinking of ordering Crest strips off ebay but are they any good? Is the Premium version the best to get?

    Hey Hey :D

Had a check-up yesterday, no fillings needed :T though he did clean out between m'teeth and at the end used some kind of special paste which felt gritty - it went on my front 4 top and bottom teeth and they turned a much whiter colour.

I know Toothsmith frequents this forums so hoped he may be able to tell me what this magic substance was and how come it isn't used at every check-up? It's the first time it's been done for the last couple of years :o

I feel like Rich Hammond :rotfl:

    Crabster :D
