As its strips you use to whiten the teeth i find its more effective on the front teeth but they do actually work well on the rest as it does more or less the full upper and lower set.

The results are quite effective and last for quite a while until you attack the red wine regularly again oops! lol. So when they start getting shabby again just use some more strips. But i have to say that it does permanently improve the shade of your teeth, imho that is anyway.

Oh nearly forgot that you do always notice the biggest difference on the 2 front teeth. To me they always seem the whitest.

I had bought crest white strips and also the paint on whitener you apply before going to bed, not used at the same time, and noticed a difference within a couple of days.

Asked dental hygienist whether these were safe to use and she advised that they would not cause any harm and were very effective, so much so that a couple of her colleagues had used them.

She did say that if your gums feel tender after several days then a sensitive toothpaste should keep you right.

I basically googled "teeth whitening" and quite a number of websites selling the bleaching agent with mouth trays came up. I deceided to go for the 22% bleaching kit, and it's definatly improving the whiteness of my teeth. However, it's fair to say, you need to use sensodyne toothpaste in conjunction with this method, as gums and teeth can get rather sensitive. It's also worth while buying re-mineralizing gel ( if it doesn't already come with the kit), it helps with the sensitivity of the teeth. You put a thin layer in each mouth tray (gum shield) and wear tham after bleaching for up to 20 mins.

I think shop bought products are no where near as effective as this bleaching kit, which is what people are paying £300 for at the dentist.


Some web companies even offer a service where by they send you the putty to take a mould of your upper and lower teeth, you then send the mould back to the company, and they make up customized gum shields for a fraction of the dentist costs.

Well I don't know about that, I didn't plumb for customized ones.
I guess they would be responsible if it went wrong at their end, yet they can't be held accountable if the customer dosen't follow instructions. That goes for any product.

By the way, I'm just saying I haven't had any complaints with regards to the kit I'm using, I'm not addvocating people should take any risks. It's up to the individual.

I didn't use the gum shields I got with the kit I bought, I sent off for another set, which were re-mouldable, so I could get a tighter fit.

You don't have to have both gum shields in at once by the way. lol

Oh another thing lol.. my mum has just had her teeth professionally whitened using the bleaching kit and gum shields ect... provided for by her dentist at a £300 cost. The results ain't £300 worth that's for sure. I think she feels well cheated.

Has she been back to the dentist?

I offer a money back guarentee when I do it. I've never yet had to give anyone their money back (That's because I only offer it to the cases I'm sure will work) but once or twice I've given the patients a syringe or two extra gel, just to get them where they want to be.

The reason it's more expensive at the dentist is for just this reason! You have a specific individual you can go and complain to! Not a web site.
