I didn't like the figure on my loan it's been bugging me all day so have paid £3.95 to round it down to a nicer figure.
:T
Well Done on your payments!! I'm just catching up on diaries!! I'm sure you'll get it down below £2000 before the end of the month, you've done a great job so far!!
How are the party plans coming along? Did you manage to get a back up plan sorted indoors incase the weather isn't great? I hope the rain stays off for you, I'll have my fingers crossed!! How is your little one getting on in her big bed?
I'm planning on a couple of hours overtime this weekend, but thats about all we have planned. I might list some more stuff on ebay - although I think I have sickened myself tonight!! Got coursework to do for Uni too, so I should probably get stuck into that! I'm hoping to get rid of my Mini-Target 2 before the end of June so I can start on my big bad creditors after that!!
Good Luck with the party - and hopefully catch up with you soon!

Well we've had the party. It was hectic but the rain stayed away thankfully. If it had rained we would have had no choice but to have people in the house. It would have been doable but very cramped.
We were chilling along nicely and I was catching up with some friends when all of a sudden everyone else seemed to turn up at once and I lost all sense of what was happening for a while, but we got through it. DD had a fab time and spoilt rotten. I'm chilling with a glass of wine now as seemed to miss a lot of chance to have a sip earlier and just realised nearly a whole box has gone!
DD is getting great in her bed thanks cwc. She cried when we say goodnight but it seems within 5 minutes max she's quiet and asleep. I think a big part of the paroblem was also the heat as she was waking up sweating so was going to bed in just a nappy, but tonight is cooler so hopefully better.
I have to do a major budget as have been spending a lot lately, and whilst I do know I have done really well paying off the loan this last couple of months, I'm scared my reserves will all disappear and I wont have anything left.
I spend over £70 on birthday food, cake and drink and we are also taking oh's aunty and uncle out for lunch tomorrow so that could be a high spend. But we don't see them very often so it's not an all the time thing. Think I will play with some figures tonight and see what I come up with.0 -
Glad to hear the party went well :j - and I hope you enjoy your well earned glass of wine!! We had really bad thunder and lightening here during the night last night, I'm quite scared of thunder!!
I found that my DD was quite hot in her bed too to begin with. I went through to check her last night and she had completely stripped off - PJ top, bottoms and nappy!! Took a bit of explaining that she had to keep her nappy on at least even if she was "roasting" as she kept saying!!
Enjoy your lunch out tomorrow, I'm sure it will be nice especially as its not an all the time thing!
Good luck with your budget too!! Its always good to refresh your mind and have another look at budgets, its becoming a little hobby of mine.... sad or what?!! :rotfl:0 -
The glass of wine has turned into 3!!
Your dd sounds very advanced for her age. My dd will just winge and pull at her clothes to tell us she is hot lol, but saying that she is remarkable in other ways so I don't mind.
I don't like thunder either! We're down south so I think your weather is heading our way tomorrow hence why we're going out for lunch. Otherwise we'd more than likely have a bbq at home.0 -
Lol, quite right, you go girl! I'm hogging a bottle of full fat coke to myself tonight, no vino for me
We had our DD's 2 year assessment with the Health Visitor last week and she said she was advanced in her speech, I dare say she gets that from both me and her Dad, we're a pair of chatterboxes to say the least!
I guess they all do things at different ages and different speeds. Do you see much difference in the ages your girls did things? I often wonder if I'll remember when DD1 did certain things if (when!!) we have more children!
I hope you don't get the thunder then, it was sooooo loud, it actually sounded like there was someone pushing something along the roof of our house - I woke my OH because I was scared (big baby that I am!!) and because there was no lightening, and nothing for him to "see" he rolled over and went back to sleep - totally inconsiderate!!0 -
Well apparantley we did have thunder but I slept through it ( must have been the wine lol)
I remember with dd1 she spoke quicker. DD2 is talking a lot but not all clear but I know she's ok. She is very different in other ways though and will happily look at letters of the alphabet and know who they correspond to which I know my dd1 would never have been able to do at 2.
They all do things when they're ready so I'm not worried. Best to enjoy them.0 -
I had to buy some frontline for my cat tonight so went through tcb and paid via paypal so transferred across the £20 from my account instead.
Withdrew £27 from paypal and have £5 from amazon on it's way to me. Will update sig on these when I have received them and paid them across.0 -
Well apparantley we did have thunder but I slept through it ( must have been the wine lol)
Lol! :rotfl:Glad you didn't have to lie awake and afraid at the thunder!!
How was your lunch out today? Hope you enjoyed it!! I see you have updated your sig again, well done! :j
I'm off to update my diary then will send you my template spreadsheet. I keep popping on to ebay to check my sales, I have a load of stuff ending tonight and the first 6 have bids with more than 1 watcher so I am excited.... sad or what?!!

Don't know who you use for your Frontline YB - we always get ours from PetMeds - there's cashback from them too and the service is excellent.
As for the loan - well it's shrinking fast, isn't it! It's this week your regular standing order comes out to isn't it? How much will that knock off the total then? You're doing great anyway - keep at it!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
Balance as at 01/09/23 = £115,000.00 Balance as at 31/12/23 = £112,000.00

Lunch was great and only spent £30 as they insisted on buying drinks and the pub we went to was a two for one so saved all round. I was expecting £50-£60 to spend so that's good.
Well done on your ebay listings cwc it's great when they sell isn't it. I have to post four parcels this morning.
EH yes it is this week my payment will come out. I'm hoping the interest will be around £25 so will knock just under £100 off the total with the payment out.
I ordered my frontline from petmeds funnily enough. I have always been to the vets so I realise I can get six months supply online for the same price as three months at the vets - result.
I'm really hoping my laptop charger arrives today, I haven't been able to update my monthly spreadsheets for the car since thursday and I don't want to forget what I have paid off lol.
I also want to get some pics printed through photobox as got a free delivery code from them so perfect time to get them done.
Todays plan is to do
- meal plan for the week and then do the shopping online later. I'm hoping by doing this I can shave a bit more off the bill and have less wasteage.
- if charger arrives get some fresh stuff on ebay, if not do some more relists
-have a look at spreadsheet template (thanks cwc) and start to figure out getting a bit more organised.
Have a great day everyone.0
