Good to hear your dd is being good in her bed. We only mention it to dd2 now and again but I think maybe this weekend she'll go into her bed. Have realised I need to buy a single duvet and some sheets and then I think we're ready to go!
Nothing happening on the paying off the loan front for a few days. Am waiting to get paid on friday to be able to pay a bit more off. I have some money I "owe" to the loan from money saved elsewhere but I want my wages in the bank first to get squared for next month.
Also have dd2's birthday next week so that's going to cost me a bit in party food and drink for everyone. We're having a bbq for friends and family but it'll still cost a bit.
I got a bargain on ebay last night, some peppa pig bits for dd for her birthday, the car, train and house with figures for £20 so I was pleased with that. I know she'll love them.
June must be a stop spending month though lol as I know I keep spending at the mo.0 -

That'll be exciting getting your DD into her big bed!! I got really nice covers from Tesco's the actual duvet cover was only around £8, plus they wash really well.
Thats good that you got a bargain on ebay!! I need to list some more bits and pieces tonight, haven't taken photos yet tho, so it could be a slow process!! Sold another few yesterday, half a dozen CD's and some new glasses that we haven't used, so it all helps!!
You're doing really well on the loan front, you're almost a third of the way there, so keep the good work and motivation going! :T0 -
Totally shattered here. Have run out of wallpaper so the decorating is on hold for today. We're not happy with the condition of the walls or our wallpapering skills but they'll hopefully settle down overnight and it's a 2 year old's bedroom that not many people see.
The bed is built and I put the new bedding on that I bought this morning and it looks cool in there if unfinished. We have the new curtains up that almost match the wallpaper which I am really pleased about.
Payday tomorrow so can pay some more off the loan and re budget so I know what we have. Did spend some money on beer and coca cola today for dd2's party next weekend though.0 -
Payday today and my signature is looking slightly better now
I paid £78 off the loan from
-£25 from what I spend on ebay that was in paypal
-£8 from spending on ebay that was in paypal
-£25 ING bonus that makes up less money I need to transfer this month
-£20 from OH phone bill having a credit this month so used it for the loan instead.
I was left with an odd amount so paid off another £1.86 to round it down to a nice even figure.

DD2 spent her first night in her bed last night and it wen OK. Could have been better but could have been a lot worse. There was a lot of crying and sobbing. She went straight to sleep after a story at 7pm but woke up around half 8 and was disorientated. She then didn;t go back to sleep till nearly tenpm and most of that time was spent crying unless me or OH were up there with her which we tried not to do for very long.
She got out of bed once but managed to climb back in. When we checked after all went quiet she was alseep in the right place with head on pillow. She did wake up this morning at 6.30 though and cried again but said she loved her big girls bed lol.
I think she woke last night as she was hot so tonight it'll be shorty pj's instead of long ones. A large duvet albeit a summer one is bound to be hotter than a cot duvet.0 -

Hello again yukkibear, just catching up with your diary too! Well done on the extra amounts to your loan, your signature is looking good!! :T
Glad to hear your DD is in her big girl bed and she "loves it"!! It must be a bit strange for them to begin with, bless! I bet she looked really comfy compared to being in her cot, I always think my DD looks soooo much comfier in her bed. I know what you mean about the heat, and a large duvet, especially in this heat - it was 25 degrees here (North East of Scotland!!) during the day so our house was like a sauna last night!
I'm sure once she has been in her bed for a few nights she'll settle fine. It is tempting to cuddle in beside them until they bob off but it would be an every night thing I bet - and knowing the softy Daddy's their little princesses would have them nurse them to sleep every night!!

Can someone help me out by telling me an easy way of working out how much in percentage terms I have paid off my loan? I'm so rubbish with calculations like that. Was trying to put everything into a spreadsheet last night but it wasn't happening lol.
I've worked it out now
Few more things to post on ebay and waiting for a cheque from envirophone for a mobile I sold.
We have dd's birthday party this weekend so it's going to be a bit of a high spend, but once that is done with I am going to do the budget again and try to shave a bit off, or see where I can save some money to overpay.0 -
Naughty me I haven't posted in three days. We've had blazong hot sunshine so have ben trying to enjoy the weather while it lasts.
I've received a cheque for £38.07 for my mobile yesterday so that will be banked today and paid off when cleared.
Still plugging away with the ebay sales, but have to concentrate on getting the house in some order for the weekend as we're having a party for dd's birthday.
I do have a freebie £7 voucher to play through on a bingo site so will do that this morning and see if I get anything from it.0 -
Just a quick update. My laptop charger has been playing up for the last few days so I was thinking in the back of my mind to get a new one. Lunchtime it just went zzzpppzzzppp on me. Had to get a new one so without laptop until it arrives and have to use OH's desktop.
I used paypal so transferred £12 to my loan from my own money today to counteract the paypal money.0 -
Nothing won from the £7 bingo freebie, but it was fun playing it through.
£44.05 paid off this morning from the phone and a couple of ebay sales. :j:j:j
New total looking better. I really want to get it below 2k by the end of June, so I need to get down to some serious budgeting and working out how I can do that.
we have dd2's birthday this weekend so will be spending money not saving or making it
We're having a bbq and it's forecast to rain
Looks like I need to seriously sort my house for an indoor party before work later.0 -
I didn't like the figure on my loan it's been bugging me all day so have paid £3.95 to round it down to a nicer figure.0
