My boys ended up choosing Stormy Down yesterday as the weather changed drastically. We arrived quite late (7:20) and plenty arrived after us. I was going to do as previously suggested and go for a wander to avoid being 'lynched' but didn't need to luckily.
Profit was £52 (expenses £8 stall, £3 boys icecreams)
Got better prices than I used to at The heritage park(Trehafod - cancelled due to complaints from local residents) but not as good as when we were in Aldershot (fantastic there to buys and sell - good prices if you're selling, lots of excellent quality stuff if you're buying).
Thanks for the advice and to everyone who posts on here - it would be good to see bootsales pick up again here.
Kaz x
PS Matphil - hope you found a bootsale, bit too late for me to reply, but the only one I know of is the stormy down mentioned in an earlier post anyway.January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now...Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.I will try to work it out.

I went to the one at Waitrose, Barry today (bank hol Monday) and I had loads of bargains, designer brand new jeans for £1.00 a pair for my son, a cat radiator bed for the kittens for £1.00, new shoes for 20p, brand new school trousers at 3 for £1.00 - I bought tonnes and only spent £10.00 very pleased and very surprised at the turn out of sellers and buyers there.
I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL

Hope you're having a nice break at your mums Rachie. We've had a few power rangers bits to sell on our stall - some of them are quite old as my eldest is 16 so was about when they really took off - I still remember him in his 'short trousers' doing all the moves, lol. (he'll not be impressed if he reads this post!!!)
Stormy down was a complete wash out today. I felt so sorry for those selling - there were more sellers than buyers, and only about 20 sellers at that. Only a couple of traders had opened up and it was freezing cold.
We decided not to sell as no one we spoke to at the bootsale yesterday knew that it was going to be open today. I was rather suprised that they weren't telling people as they arrived yesterday - had I not read it on here I wouldn't have known.
Still, got two bargains - a new 'chicken soup for the soul' book (50p) to add to my 'collection' and a very old (don't laugh) 'Practical knitting demonstrated'(20p). It's a lovely bit of history, as well as instructions on how to knit there are pictures of old fashion designs and their patterns. Had quite a giggle at the knitted 'bathing costume' for boys - basically a pair of snug shorts that go up to the chest that also incorporate some bracer type straps to keep them up.
Wet wool .... Yeurgh - doesn't bear thinking about!!!
I hope some others have found some bargains today,
All the best,
