Len don't get me started on Tax credits people!
It depends how much Working tax credits you get as to whether its beneficial to use the childcare vouchers. We used to get the vouchers through DH's old job but weren't eligable for working tax credits. We get the lowest amount of £35 ish a month I think so you're not going to owe a huge amount. Don't also forget that you will also get higher rate for Harry in the first year so you should still get an increase in your entitlement.

They should seriously scrap it...its so complicated

Len if you don't get working tax credits its going to be a couple of pounds per month you have been overpaid. I remember when I informed them and they said it was such a small amount it probably wouldn't affect award in anyway! Talk about conflicting advice!

i'm guilty of accepting what they say each year, i send in my P60 and hope for the best....

i don't even know if they are still taking overpayments from me or not...???

i know it went up when i put erin back into holiday clubs n stuff last year, so i get a lot of that back, which is all i bother with it for....

don't get me wrong the money comes in very handy but i view it as the childcare money back, rather than any extra as such IYKWIM........
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

It's definitely too complicated for people to work out, but you can always check with your local CAB or entitledto or HMRCs website if you're award seems way out. :)

Cheers guys. I have another thing I would like you to cast your eyes over too if thats ok. In a nutshell, I was charged a 2nd callout fee by the breakdown company Green Flag for my car when it broke down a few months ago. It had 2 problems, 1 it wouldnt start and then once started I had a brake problem too and I was towed to the nearest garage. This is my response:

    1. I write with regard to your letter at the Reference where you claim I owe you £47.73 for a second call out charge for the above mentioned incident.

    2. As your records will show, I did not make a second call and I was not made aware that a second call was being made and that as a result of this second call I would be liable for a separate charge.

    3. Therefore it is respectfully requested that the fee of £47.73 be waived.
