Didn't know you could do that.

Do they charge you for them?

Most POs always seemed happy to give you a handful of the old Recorded slips. I always used to keep a pile and pre-fill them, which always seemed to please the counter staff.

Now that the Recorded items are scanned on the computer it's actually easier for them to provide the sticker at the time, so that they can scan the barcode before passing the label to me to stick on the package.

If you are a regular they will usually give you a full roll. Some are a bit protective of their stock and only give you a few. You can also order from royalmail.com and its all free.

Have you got a link to these mate?

Browsing royal mail site, I can find postage stuff but it's all stamps and prepaid envelopes etc.
  • i get told off if i go in to the PO with more than 1 recorded delivery and haven't already done the slips up.

this is why i leave cash with my local PO on a weekly basis and then just pass them whatever I have without having to wait around. they then do it in their own time.

  • If I use my local PO, the staff are absolutely fantastic - it's a real local community post office and newsagents, the staff know everyone by name and can't do enough to help! They will take a big bag of parcels behind the counter if you have a lot of Ebay stuff, so you can leave it there and come back to pay and collect your proof of posting later. They deserve a gold star for customer service!

However sometimes I have to use the one in town if I'm at work - and the lady there hates me and my Ebay parcels! The amount of arguments I've had with her about whether something is a LL or not - she will not budge, even if I've checked it at home. She is mean! Would love to do a mystery shop on her!

I bulk buy stamps and prepare it all at home. I have a roll of recorded labels and a book to use as the proof for this. I still have the old style SD forms which is handy. If I use COP, I have some of those forms too.
I drop it all off at my PO's enquiry office who just sign and stamp and send it off. So much quicker and there is never any queues :D

I just ask them at the counter for a dozen or so recorded labels and they just give them to me.

I was told about this "book" that ebayers/regulars can use but didnt find out much about it.
