i recommend avast over avg any day
avast is less bloated and bette at finding and controlling virusesSilenced by the Gestapo :rotfl:0 -
Thats me convinced, AVG did a good job but I like avasts boot time scan0

Avast better than AVG, but Avira better than Avast. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I think it's fair to say the consensus round here is that the once great AVG has really gone downhill over the past year or so, slowing down systems and hogging resources almost as much as serious bloaters like Norton. Most would advise either Avira or Avast as a freebie replacement.
I use Avast and it's never given me a problem.0 -
I also ditched avast for avira.You can't keep a good man down...0

Be sure to use the 32 bit AVG removal tool
http://www.avg.com/download-tools
Is this what i should be downloading... http://www.free-av.com/
Should i download this first, disconnect from the internet, remove AVG using the tool & then install Avira.......?What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0
