I would just like to reply to your post and say that i think you should change your job and work for a decent company one that really does care about its customers, yes i know i booked through mr fisher and not direct with butlins, but who would have benefited from all the money i would of spent on site with 4 children in tow do you think?. Why have butlins stopped the 15% off which we were told we could have are they losing too much profit!!. i usually stay at butlins in a silver apartment and i'm a gold member but after the way they have dealt with this situation never again:mad: only booked a caravan as young son so wanted to stay in 1:eek: rant over sorry guys

Butlins and Haven are owned by the same people. Bourne Leisure.
I am going to haven seashore in July, booked direct with Haven.

I don't know when you was told this but its definately true. This Fisher bloke did have at least 3 Caravans on this site (maybe more, but I don't about those). 255 was one of his vans as was either 222 or 223 my OH's Grandad can't remember exactly which one it was.

Anyway, as I said previously Butlins did know about this bloke, they wouldn't have had security escort him on to the site to pick up his belongings & escort him back off again if they believed him to be a genuine person. Butlins SHOULD have done a lot more to notify people what this conman was upto.

I could be way off track but maybe it suited Butlins what this man was doing, after all how many of those people who just turned up to find out they'd be conned then actually paid out to Butlins for a holiday just for their kids etc, seen as they were already there & had booked time off?? I know some wouldn't of been able to afford it but there'd of been others that could.

Hello as you have asked us to put forward any questions we may have here goes, i booked my holiday with mr mike fisher and not blue sky lettings or lucy's caravans, and he apparently did own the caravan i rented sandhills 255 was this caravan still in situ in sept 08 as this is when i booked and paid my money? could you also tell me if any money (my money) was paid to butlins from mr mike fisher at or around that time? as site fees or the such like? i await your response.

supermum, im also in same boat as you. i booked 255 for may 09 and booked direct with mr fisher and i would also like to know if my booking form etc ever reached butlins?
i have managed to book another caravan for the same week thank god! my little boy wouldve been gutted, hes only 3 and doesnt really understand.
i gave an interview for the ipswich daily star the other day and am just waiting to see if they put it in the paper, apparently they managed to get hold of mr fisher and he told them he was in dispute with bourne leisure.
if anyone lives that way on and could let me know if its in it would be appreciated

I have contacted BBC Watchdog about this and i'm currently waiting for a reply.

Just wondering if anybody else had contacted them or would be willing to do so?

When I phoned the Skyline office (Butlins gave me the number) to check if Mr Fisher actually owned any caravans on the site. I had become alarmed when I tried to add an extra name to my booking and 1. They couldn.t locate the paperwork ". When found for caravan booked quoted different name. So I phoned the main Butlins site and they gave me the phone number of the caravan office. A man answered the phone and, in answer to my querry, said that Mr Fisher had several caravans that he let out, usually on EBay. This reassured me that all was well. Am I the only one who did this?
