hired caravan now ebayer ceased trading!!!

Hi i hired a caravan at butlins skegness off someone on ebay for this august:rolleyes:, received a letter today stating that they have ceased trading and can no longer fullfill my booking but they wont refund me my money:mad: they say they are trying to recover money paid to bourne leisure ltd ie butlins and if they receive anything back they hope to refund customers and creditors:mad: yeah right of course they are:rolleyes:, now i paid via paypal but as its over 45 days they just basically said tough. please can anyone advise as to what i can do if anything to get my £200 back:confused: im so upset as will the children when they find out (not going to tell them yet though) thanks in advance guys:beer:

    Were the tour operters Abta/atol bonded that you know off?

    As you've found, you can only make claim through eBay/paypal within 45 days, and leave feedback up to 60 days, but if you funded the payment with a credit card, then there may be some recourse through them.

    I think you may get a better repsonse to this question on the travel/holidays board, as it is not specifically an eBay problem.

    or was this a private individual? Small claims court if it was. Or contact the liquidator this might require a bit of effort to get your money back.

    i thought it was a private individual (thefisherclan) but when they sent me the booking is said blue sky lettings so now i'm not sure:confused:

    blue sky lettings appear to be still trading..this sounds a bit suspicious OP, how did you actually fund your paypal payment.

    paypal payment funded from my debit account :mad: the paperwork states blue sky lettings (ipswich) ltd and doesn't match the 1 i can google:confused: god i'm so fed up i can't afford to book anything else now:mad: rant over. thanks guys

    Sorry we couldn't help here, but the time limit for paypal claims is rigid and can't be moved but hopefully someone on the holiday board can help.

    hi how do i find out who the liquadators are as all i have is a name on a letterhead. blue sky lettings (ipswich) ltd when i try to find information on them i get nothing except a link to a letting agency who have nothing to do with them:mad: any help would be greatly appreciated:beer:
