what an !!!!!!! he is i cant believe butlins have allowed him to get away with it for so long and all they offer us is 15% off a holiday with total pish they have known for a while what this guy was upto but did nothing to stop him. butlins you rock you really do.
Bulins have said not going to give any discounts as of yesterday:confused: so they are really wanting to help us out:rolleyes: oh well never mind haven can have my money:j
  • I work for Butlins and have read everyone's comments. I feel really sorry for everyone who has lost out on thier holiday; it seems very unfair. I also wanted to clear up any misunderstandings as Butlins has nothing to do with either Blue Sky Lettings or Lucy's Caravan Holidays. I thought the easiest way to do this would be to post our statement so you can see where we stand on this. Please let me know if you have any questions:

"Blue Sky Lettings and Lucy's Caravan Holidays are privately owned letting agencies who seem to predominantly let caravans on behalf of private caravan owners.

Neither Blue Sky Lettings or Lucy's Caravan Holidays have any connection to Bourne Leisure Ltd or Butlins and they do not own any caravans at Butlins.

Any letting agreement made with Blue Sky Lettings or Lucy's Caravans remains a private agreement between the individual and the respective letting agency.

Trading Standards are currently investigating these businesses and have advised all affected guests to contact Consumer Direct on 08454-040506".
  • any member of butlins is bound to say that as you dont want a bad name for yourselves i normally have 2-3 holidays a year at butlins in your chalets but i too will be giving my money to haven as butlins have done nothing for us apart from offer us a discount then take it back. disgusting customer service if you ask me. butlins has known for ages what this guy was up to yet never gave us a second thought i along with many others am disgusted.

    A question.

What safeguards,if any do Butlins have in place to stop this happening.

Second question: What rulesare there about private sub letting.

i feel so sorry to you all who have been ripped off by this idiot....

i wouldn't have thought butlins would have cared at all what this idiot was doing, it isn't their problem, but people will now go elsewhere and i wouldn't blame them, in the credit crunch not many can afford their very high prices.

    kez :)

To be honest whilst people cannot hold Butlins responsible for this blokes behaviour I think its been a poor show on Butlins behalf that they haven't come out quicker & actually taken measures to advertise what this conman is doing.

Its also amazing how one lady at Skegness allowed a family to use her Caravan free of charge as she felt so sorry for them having children & all turn up out of the blue due to this bloke. If a private tenant on there can do this it shows Butlins up really for their lack of help.

    agree also
  • Butlin's may say it has nothing to do with them but if that is the case why did a member of their staff tell me months ago that Micheal Fisher did own caravans there and did trade on Ebay? They may deny this ever happened but I know it did. So either he did own caravans or they had a crooked member of staff working for them. What's the truth Butlins? Oh, silly me, you can't tell me due to the data protection law! And now theyv'e even stopped the paltry 15% off offer. Yet a private caravan owner took pity on a scammed family and offered their caravan free of charge. I don't know who you are but you are the salt of the earth. Well done, youv'e restored my faith in human nature. Always remember, there are more good people around than not. Butlins should be ashamed for not acting earlier.:A
