Selling livestock on ebay?

Rules are rules folks, but common sense should really prevail.
You can't allow them to sell them on an auction site just in case they kill them if the listing is pulled. I'm sure they are intelligent enough to take them to their petshop or local animal rehoming centre if they can't get rid of them.0 -
I don't see anything wrong with selling hamsters on ebay, as long as they aren't being "sent" to buyer and buyer has to collect then thats ok by me. In the AdTrader you see plently of people selling pets, it's not against the law.Need to get rid of my Yankee Candle Habit, Not very money saving of me

A) how would you ensure they were not sent by post

Sellign any animal to a complete stranger on Ebay or AdTrader IMHO is wrong no matter how you look at it... Maybe that's because I everyday deal with the results of people dumping dogs, cats and so on and every week hundreds of volunteers spend countless hours trying to save as many of these animals from being put down in pounds because someone wanted somethign "newer and more trendy" or because they didn't realise a puppy isn't magically house trained, the cats don't automatically know what it's allowed to scratch and rabbits and hamster DO BITE.
It SHOULD be against the law but no it isn't, however it IS against Ebay rules and thank Dog for that!
BTW the listing was removed

There are ALWAYS ponies and horses being advertised on ebay.
I doubt they'd post them
Just run, run and keep on running!0 -

I've seen puppies being offered for sale on Adtrader at 5 or 6 weeks old :eek:0 -

firsly My Little Pony doesn't count as livestock
Nor does Barbies horses
And I am pretty sure that if any listings for horses were spotted they'd be pulled pretty sharpish
As for anyone buying a horse or pony on ebay... They'd seriously need their head examining!

Ya reckon? TRY THIS
It's only an advert but surely it's the same thing? Whether the buyer clicks on the bid button or gets in touch by email. Ok so they're not entering into a contract to buy but the same people still have the same access to buy the pony.
I bought my pony off an online advert and, like anyone else would do, I went to the farm to see the pony first.Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
The other day I was looking for 'duck egg blue' stuff for my kitchen and found people selling live duck eggs ready to hatch out!!! I've also seen people selling pet fish and hermit crabs.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040
