I'll take any clothes you have going Sammy!!!

When I was reading one of my many child manuals (lol!) Miriam Stoppard said that thumbs were better as children take them out to speak (generally) and then they can 'self pacify'. Certainly made my life easier when they were in bed at night!

Sometimes there is absolutely no ( apparent) thread running through these posts:p.

I would like to thank the idiot Chancellor for doing precisely NOTHING for the middle-aged, hard-working, not-old-enough-for-a-pension, kids-out-of-school people.........AGAIN. Cheers:beer: (+2%), I thank Mr Darling from the heart of my bottom.

Or the young(ish), no kids, hard-working (when they actually give me work) etc etc...

You can be smug Jinky...there is nothing worse than a child with a dummy - but mine had them . I just couldn't get mine to suck their thumbs...my OH's family are of the opinion that they were okay so I was fighting a losing battle....

at least mine never had the bottle of tea they also used to favour!!

There is a farm near me that you can go to and give your dummy to - they have a long long line of dummies all over the farm.

Don't worry bunny - I am saving them up for you...

We lost the dummy in Spain, along with a child and passport....so had to take a major detour to buy a new one. She howled until we bought her a new one and while we were queing to buy it (at 4.95 euros!!!!!) she fell asleep holding it......grrr....so we just put it back and drove home.
