*Daily chat thread - Weds 22nd April 2009 - The long drive home.

Yay, I get to start the thread! :j

Well, as you'll remember from yesterday, I have a 6 hour drive ahead of me today. For some reason, I don't feel that nervous right now. I can't get back to sleep but I'm not scared. I guess I feel like it's just 6 hours of my life and when it's over, it's over, and I don't have to do it again for another 2 months.

Needless to say, I won't be posting much today. I'm setting off at 9am and counting in breaks, should hopefully be back before 5pm. I'll have to be, if I hit Bristol any later than 4:30pm, I won't be home 'til 7pm. So if that happens, I'll have to hang back at the services until the traffic clears.

Anyway, I'd better finish before someone else starts a thread. :D Talk later.

  • Back down to Bath again. I've been up in Scarborough for Easter but I've got to head back to uni soon. Unfortunately, my car's too old to have a radio! My grandma's coming with me though so I can talk to her. But I think a radio might be a priority for this summer, if we can find somewhere to put one.

Ah roger that. What kind of car is it? You could get a little portable radio, nice and small be able to sit on the seat next to you probably. I love Scarborough, not as much as Whitby mind but I havent lovely memories from Scarboro. One question though: North Bay or South Bay??

    Morning

Drive carefully Kayleigh, I would love to live in Scarborough or Whitby when I retire they always look such nice places to live when you drive by.

Hiya Lennybobbles, what you up to today apart from changing nappies:D
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • A Morris Minor. We're thinking portable at the moment or maybe remote control, as it has a tendency to not go in a straight line if you take your eyes off the road for longer than 3 seconds.

I grew up in Scarborough, originally in a hotel backing onto the cricket ground. I was also born at the end of August, right in the middle of cricket week, which used to be my parent's busiest week of the year. And I've been a inconvenience ever since. :D Me and my dad live up on the border between Barrowcliff and Newby now, not far from the hospital. But in terms of preference, North Bay any day, I could never stand the crowds around the South.

They are nice, especially when you want a quiet life. Not always great for teens growing up there but I appreciate it a lot more now that I'm not there that often.

Right, my dad's gone to work so I can use the phone now. Littlewoods is being awkward about my daily scratch payout so I'll try to give them a quick ring, see if they're open. It's a 0800 number so dad won't mind when he sees it on the phone bill.

    Bye Lenny.

They're not answering, they must not be open yet. I'll try again when I get back to Bath. I could just send them an e-mail but I'd rather actually talk to someone about this. I'm funny like that. :D
