I love fish but it's a pain cooking it at home cos I have a combined living room/ kitchen - not great sitting around all evening with the smell of fish!
I know what you mean, we are open plan but there is a door I can close between the dining room and the living room.
I cooked it in my steamer and left the back door open because it's such a gorgeous day.
The difficult part is trying to eat it with 2 cats virtually sitting on the flippin plate trying to hook the fish from the fork with their claws every time it comes within striking distance.

OK parents out there I need some sage advice...
I've registered Evie's birth but do I need to contact anyone about child benefit or working tax credits??? I kinda hoped this would be an automatic thing but I took of the rose tinted glasses and realised that it probably isn't automatic and I need to phone up some place that I don't know about!!!
Its not automatic as far as I am aware...ring the tax credit helpline up and tell them you want to make an application.

I'm taking the kids swimming after school today, my local pool has a fun splash session each Wednesday 4-7pm where they have loads of play stuff and inflatables to climb and play on.
Jess really enjoyed swimming on our mini holiday.
Our council have made swimming free for all under 16s now too so it's cheap.

It's beautiful here, not a cloud in the sky, my washing line is groaning with the strain.
The cats are now basking on the patio, when it gets too hot for them they'll retreat either to the bedroom or in Dennis' case under the huge lavender bush next door where he's made himself a nice little cat nest. It's also his vantage point because he can watch for my elderly neighbour bringing his plate of chicken.

Cat- you have to complete an application and send it off with the abbreviated birth certificate for CB and that links to getting the £250 voucher for Evie's CTF. CTC is a separate application.
Poor Nathan seems to be feeling a bit clingy today - he cries in his cot but falls fast asleep if I cuddle him.
Todays mission (and it will be a proper mission with Nathan feeling off) is to get 2 or 3 loads of washing done to make sure what we need is ready for packing on Friday and catch up on some sleep:rolleyes:
