Hi Linda, Beanie oh and Red too :D (isnt that a film about girls from Leeds? :D)

Well I phoned them to let them know about young Harry and they asked me about the childcare voucher scheme and if I participated; which I do. ANd they said well youve told us that you pay £404 for childcare costs but because you claim the childcare vouchers and claim get the tax relief on it you've been overpaid Tax Credits. I said well I thought I had told you about this either over the phone or on the form but I cant remember. I also said 'Im not having a pop at you love, I work in HR so I know how difficult YOUR job can be, but surely the fact that I claim tax relief on the chidcare vouchers shoud be linked somehow when you process my claim???? *right hand, left hand* but she said no, it is mentioned in the help notes you get, to which I said well we all know how useful those are!!!!! Nightmare. I thought Childcare Vouchers were to encourage people back to work. I know people have said it before but they really do need to sort the tax credits out or bin it, as no one seems to know what they are doing cause you hear so many horror stories, so god knows how much I owe them now!

    What happens now then?

That was the most gorgeous, juicy smoked haddock I've ever tasted!

I've been observing the fish man come round every Wednesday morning in his van for ages. A few of my neighbours are regular customers so i decided to try him last week.
He has different things each time because it depends what they caught this morning. You can tell how fresh the fish is, the regular haddock doesn't even smell 'fishy' at all, it just smells of the sea.
The haddock is naturally smoked with no stupid yellow colouring.
I also got a large fillet of haddock for tea.
I'll definitely be a regular customer now.

OK parents out there I need some sage advice...

I've registered Evie's birth but do I need to contact anyone about child benefit or working tax credits??? I kinda hoped this would be an automatic thing but I took of the rose tinted glasses and realised that it probably isn't automatic and I need to phone up some place that I don't know about!!!

That sounds brilliant Linda - I had some lovely natural smoked haddock the other night in a restaurant, not usually a huge fan of smoked fish but it was gorgeous. I love fish but it's a pain cooking it at home cos I have a combined living room/ kitchen - not great sitting around all evening with the smell of fish!

Evie and I are about to embark on our first solo expedition... to the Killingbeck Asda. it's a 30minute walk away and I reckon we'll be walking around there for 30-45 minutes so we'll have killed nearly 2 hours!!! Got to be home for 1pm as midwife is coming out to check Evie between 1pm and 4pm (I love precise timings)!
