We lost the dummy in Spain, along with a child and passport....so had to take a major detour to buy a new one. She howled until we bought her a new one and while we were queing to buy it (at 4.95 euros!!!!!) she fell asleep holding it......grrr....so we just put it back and drove home.

    Thanks Sammy.

Tbh, I loved sucking my finger (and for those of you in the know-I still love my you-know-what ;)) and am quite happy for my kids to suck their thumbs-it comforts them and I love my thing that shall not be mentioned and cannot sleep without it! It makes me feel safe. We can all think of things other parents would never do ie. I don't give my kids 'fizzy pop' but lots of parents do, I think if on a whole kids are well mannered, well behaved and happy, it speaks much more for your parenting skilss then the 'I never would/did's' if that makes sense?

Good times. That /\ sounds like the sort of statement where we have to guess what you have been doing.

ie; the statement is ' The first time, I was sick and the second time , my hat blew off!'.......what was I doing?
