I would like to thank the idiot Chancellor for doing precisely NOTHING for the middle-aged, hard-working, not-old-enough-for-a-pension, kids-out-of-school people.........AGAIN.

Of course he has. He's given them a huge bonus. Or are you telling me you're not a politician or a banker?

We can all think of things other parents would never do ie. I don't give my kids 'fizzy pop' but lots of parents do, I think if on a whole kids are well mannered, well behaved and happy, it speaks much more for your parenting skilss then the 'I never would/did's' if that makes sense?

That's a "results" driven assessment of raising children. Which is certainly the way I look at things...

Question for BB (aka Judith Chalmers!) - i was planning on splashing out and getting a nice £60 a night B&B for me n erin when i go to Dorch in the summer.....

However will be flying into Bournemouth from Edinbugh, cheap flights a plenty at the moment....

Depending on my luck with the Travelodge - Would i be better getting Travelodge £9 in Bournemouth for my 5-6 nights... and getting public transport round and about to visit sally and go places... or would i be better to pay more but base in Dorchester....? Where there are no travelodges... but nice B&B's!

I could fit my times into the £9 rooms slot in T/lodge sale so wondered about the distance....

Bearning in mind the only firm thing i know i'll be doing is spending 2-3 days with Sally and Bea (and maybe mini meet!) and the rest will be doing our own thing, and don't mind where we go, swimming beach etc.....
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
